Cold AIR INTAKE QUESTION!

cold air intake question!!! you experts out there. what is the best cold air intake system with a lot of hp gain?? I saw a takeda stage 2.FROM AFE..supposed to add approx. 16-18 hp. THoughts???

Stock intake system is already good... you wont get listed gains especially without a tune.

was going to get a tune also. I guess the step by step process for moderate mods would be that..a retune, then a hp exhaust right?

Get all your bolt ons done before your tune

AdminTuning but you will need a tune. Check his channel out on YouTube.

K&N drop in + silicone tubing to replace bendy straw + airbox resonator removal will net the most bang for your buck.

Stillen Gen 3 or Takeda for a moderate expense and gain after tune

Admin intakes for biggest gains but requires a tune. Could also look into aam's intakes for similar results.

If you are going for mods gradually, start with hi flow cats or test pipes and a 2.5" dual exhaust. Opening up the exhaust will get gains throughout the whole powerband, Cold air hi flow long tube intake systems tend to give gains at the top of the rpm band and much of that is due ot leaning out the a/f with the stock tune.
