Just installed a Stillen Gen3 and it definitely feeds more and cooler air: AFR's

Im in the middle of tuning with Sebastian and on his recommendation I removed the SRI's and installed the Stillen. It feels good, but can definitely be better based on Seb's target AFR. Before, the last WOT run I did with the shortram intakes resulted in an AFR hovering around 12.3-12.4... and even that was just an "in progress" tune. After installing the coldair intakes, the AFR under WOT jumped to 13.3. I believe the target AFR during full throttle is low 12 to high 11, so there's definitely some power to be had and fuel to burn

Shortram intakes w/K&N filters: average AFR of 12.4

Stillen Gen 3: average AFR of 13.3

Great data post. Did the engine load and grams per second increase with the G3's?

What do you mean by grams per second? I might not have that info based on what Seb told me to log. As for the load, yes it actually did change quite a bit. I never thought to look.

Load %'s

RPM-----SRI---Stillen
3000-----96-----91
4000-----103---93
5000-----104---97
6000-----106---97
7000-----107---100

There might be a box labeled "Mass Air Flow MAF" to check for logging. I am just wondering if the G3 log shows more grams per second of air going into the engine.

Gotcha. I can log with the g3 but I don't have a way to test with the SRI anymore.

Have you gotten your retune for the G3's completed? Do you feel a difference between the G3's and the SRI?

It is about completed, I think. I do notice a huge difference while tuning with the g3's but that could also have to do with now tuning on an advanced timing map. Being an AT, it felt a little sluggish off the line, since I don't do the whole braking/rev thing. But now it feels much torque(ier) and will easily break traction from a dig... and that's with 265's in the rear.

Excellent! A good final tune takes time. I have found that once a new tune is flashed, about 6-7 start/run cycles are required for the fuel trims to stabilize. Stable fuel trims allow you to make a good judgement about drive-ability, full throttle power and a/f ratios vs rpm and load.
