Ark grip vs stock exhaust weight comparison

Hi I’m new here and I was wondering if anyone knows the weight for both exhaust system to compare and see which one is heavier. I googled and I didn’t found much only someone that said that ark grip is heavier than stock but I doubt that so that’s why I’m asking.

thanks in advance.

Now that’s surprising me even more. Maybe because of the bigger diameter using more material making it heavier i don’t know lol

Steel is steel. Going from the toothpick size of stock (1.8''??) to 2.25-2.5'' is going to add weight. More material and all. Stockers are 400 series steel. That's why they aren't as pretty and it's a cheaper steel. Durable, but surface rust sets on pretty quickly; especially in areas that utilize salt during winter months. 304 steel that aftermarket manufacturers use is more resistant to surface imperfections but the cost sky rockets.

Exhaust modifications for this car is for ear **** for the most part. Basically a requirement to maximize bolt-ons after a tune if you intend on taking it that far.

My sedan Grip shipped at 85 pounds, too. I estimate the box weighed 15 pounds. I weighed the stock components seperately and they were almost as heavy as my estimate for the Grip.

You can't go wrong with Ark honestly. Fast intentions and Motordyne are right there for comparison but you can't make a wrong choice. I thought Motorv8te was coming out with a quick fix for bushings but that was weeks ago.

Ark is supposedly 77lb.

At first I was a bit disappointed because it weighed much heavier than FI(52lb) and MD(57lb) but it's really super solid construction. I'm actually kind of glad for the durability now.
