What brand of aftermarket resonators would you guys recommend for a sedan for more sound? MBRP, Vibrant, SLP, Magnaflow, etc?

12 inch Vibrant or SLPs. Are you welding into stock system or do you already have a catback?

Into the stock system, but I already have a muffler delete. Will they give a decent sound increase? possible drone decrease?

sound will go down, thats a resonators job. if you deleted the muffler you're looking to add 2 more on top of the 2 you already have? that will make the new ones basically like a straight through aftermarket muffler.

no you will not decrease drone, you need something else for that called a helmholtz resonator which will also decrease sound.

No.. I want to delete the stock resonators and replace with aftermarket ones for better sound. And I don't care about drone.

Won't do a thing. A resonators a resonator. Only thing you can do is just delete them. See if you like the sound then with your muffler delete.

SLP resinators are high flow and will give you more sound but then reduce any drone, believe me. Give it a shot. Here is a vid I found on YouTube with SLP resinators on a genesis coupe n stock exhaust. Pretty loud!

3.8 Genesis Coupe with SLP Loudmouth Resonators - YouTube
That's not swapping one for another though. All inline resonators are high flow. That car has deleted mufflers or no cats etc.

As i thought, just a muffler delete which is why it's loud. A resonator delete will be even louder. Him swapping OEM for SLP wouldn't have done anything as long as his OEM were same ID and same inline design.

So then I'm assuming an aftermarket y-pipe won't have any affect either?

No that should as your changing the design and the ID will be bigger on the pipe.

You should go with Vibrant or Magnaflow. They're both really good.
I have used this one Vibrant 1141 2.5" Ultra Quiet Resonator for my car. It's been 2 years now.
You can find more information by google it or check this one https://innovatecar.com/best-exhaust-resonator/ here.

Swapping resonators isn't going to produce more sound. If you want to sound more like a wounded banshee just straight pipe it and throw on test pipes and call it a day.

The drone and dB levels of the 1 3/4'' stock piping will sound wonderful; the lovely citizens of Chi-raq will cheer as you drive by.

Should I get a aftermarket Resonator?

I have a 2013 G37x. I have installed the following. DC Short Ram intake. A Megan Y-Pipe. Kinetix HFCs. And HKS Hi Power Mufflers. My car is still not quite as loud as I want it to be. I don't want a resonator delete, but should I get an aftermarket resonator? I'm also comsidering maybe getting headers but for the sake of this post, are aftermarket resonators worth it, and if so, what brand?

different resonators are not going to make your car louder..that was all gone over in the above 13 posts. Resonators change the resonance . Mufflers and piping diameter do more to change the sound.
