Just installed R2C intake + Black Betty kit

Heres the finished product. Looks awesome.

With the R2C intake i can tell the car is breathing much better. And oh man when you open the throttle it rattles my ear drums. Easy to install, besides one vacum hose i have to fix (since its a bit crimped). Anyways looks great, sounds great, it FEELS faster, but that could be placebo + ECU reset + how much louder the intake it.

Grounding kit, super easy to instal, i have never worked on a car engine before, took me about half an hour because of my noob status. i can tell that shifts seems smoother as well as idling. But that is probably the ecu reset. Ive noticed less throttle lag, and smoothing up/down shifts (7AT). looks awesome too!

Looks great man! Nice work for a noob. BB of course will compliment the looks. He counts on it. You picked a good color since it really stands out nicely.

Nice man, and a noob question, does grounding kits help if mines an AT? And i heard that if i have a new car, theres not much difference.. umm mind chiming in since you got it installed? Thanks.

Kidcane 11-15-2010 08:58 AM

^^Actually....arguably it only does something if your car is AT.

ive got 6000km on my g, and i can tell the shifts are smoother, the idle is smoother, and the DS manual shifting is much more responsive. Seems like throttle response is better too.

I've had my betty wires since like week one of owner ship. I remember the car did feel much better after install. Now after 6 months, I kinda forgot how oem shifts and car felt.

for sure, BB is a god among men :P

I always thought the grounding wires stuff was all hype? Sounds like you guys really like the BB stuff though. Hmm. Guess it cant hurt.

to the op >> you mentioned an ECU reset. Do you simply mean disconnecting the battery or are you talking about an ECU reflash/tune?
