Can anyone tell me what brand of HFC's these are for the G37? I know it's a tough question but thought I would try :)

FI doesn't come with the brackets nor does Berk's so mark them out

Ichiba?

chris9012 Apr 23, 2010 09:59 PM

im going to guess and say berk only cause last time i looked under my car it looked like those. but i could be totally wrong

edit: sam proved my wrongness with that bracket segment

Black Betty Apr 23, 2010 10:02 PM

Sam is full of crap, Berk does have brackets. But I can't tell for sure if that's what they are. Larger detailed photos would help.

I have Berk, but mine have 2 ports for the O2 sensor after the cats, one short and one extended right side by side. I moved the sensor from the short one to the longer one and used a little bit of steel wool to get rid of a CEL that came up after having them on for a year.

Those look like early Berk productions!

DanMardik Apr 24, 2010 04:04 AM

Well, I have access to these for a super cheap price... Should I pull the trigger??

TJHG37S Apr 24, 2010 11:08 AM

Make sure you check the cells first, they could be shot and need to be replaced...in which case you have rusty test pipes

Is there a sure visual way to tell if the cat cells are still intact and in good condition?

TheLocNar Apr 24, 2010 11:57 AM

Well, you'd have to look at them... if you can get the guy to take pics, post them up here! :)

How much is the guy letting them go for? IMO, it may be more trouble than it's worth.

ERZ has their resonated test pipes for $199, FYI...

Black Betty Apr 24, 2010 12:11 PM

Test pipes sound like ass, resonated or not. HFC is raspy enough as it is.

DanMardik Apr 24, 2010 12:23 PM

He's selling these for $150!

To each their own. They aren't for me personally either. Just wanted to throw out that option. ;)

Dan, have him take pics of the insides of both. Each end too. If the cat material is crap, it's not worth it.

these look stock to me
