yea get ready for ses light with non-foulers.I'd go woth berk.big pei has had them with zero issues.

oOmikeyboy Nov 10, 2009 10:11 AM

I'm pretty sure they just look different. my berks hfc work just fine, no CES or anything.

I do know that the berks are a bit cheaper than the FI version.

The Jewbag Nov 10, 2009 10:16 AM

OK I guess Berk it is.

shumby Nov 10, 2009 10:17 AM

Just n FYI i had SES light with both my berks and FI. the difference was tony actually shipped me non-foulers after the 5 months and 20K km it took to get the ses. Now no SES. Berk was no help with my ses issue

Get a Kinetix HFC with non-foulers :-)

...why? 8char

shumby Nov 10, 2009 10:59 AM

basically all the HFC's out there are about the same and just as good as the others.

IIRC Kinetix will guarantee no SES light, if purchased from them.

If I am not mistaken, Berk changed their design to move the O2 sensor further back out of the exhaust flow to eliminate the SES light problem. I've had mine for about a year with no SES light.

berks suck. in the beginning they are fine but after some time because of the cheap magnaflow cats they use that cannot handle the heat up then cool down they expand/contract and become "too efficient" throwing your CEL. I BEEN THERE. FI FTW!
