Quick update... this may sound crazy but the exhaust seems to have settled a little more over the last day or so and gotten even more refined in sound. It surprised me because I was sure it was fully broken in already. The change is subtle but definitely there... this is a great exhaust for the G... perfect deep and refined tone. Very sporty without being obnoxious. It isn't quiet (by my standards anyway) but sounds great nonetheless.

Congrats. I love my Tanabe for the exact same reasons. Have since added Injen CAI with the Tanabe => growl + deep tone.

Great the review man, i'm thinking about getting these as well.

Now I'm just wondering if i should go the HFC route or get these. My main goal is to sound stock (love the sound of FX and coupe....sedan is too toned down) but increase the volume a little bit more. I would also be very happy if there is some form of performance gain as well.

The Tanabes would be louder and deeper from what I have heard. The Fuji exhaust would get better power gains.

I would guess about 400 to 500 miles at this point. I have to imagine they are fully broken in and the exhaust tone and volume is where it will end up.

FYI: I don't know what you paid at HP, and no knock against HP because I have dealt with them on several occasions and the service was great, but you can get Tanabe Medallion for $545. That is what I got mine for last year, same exact product, no compromises.

Since coupe stock exhausts are louder than sedan stock exhausts, does that mean if I installed Tanabe's on a sedan it would be even quieter than your coupe with Tanabe's??

If that is $545 shipped then it's a great deal. I paid slightly more than that shipped to Canada (which I expect is more than in the US) so I think I got a pretty good deal. For me though, what was more important than the $50 or $60 was the time Andy spent on the phone with me discussing options... priceless

Go for it... great sounding exhaust. Be prepared for it to be loud at first... really loud IMO. But after break-in, it is perfect and I absolutely love the exhaust more each time I drive the car.
