Possible aluminum drive shaft group buy ??

Z1 has a aluminum drive shaft for 428.00 plus shipping . Anyone here interested in a group buy for this ?? I am .. Just want to see if there is interest in this and if there is I will hit them up to see if possible ...

Update ....... So Z1 emailed me that if we can get 10 people they will discount the drive shaft 25.00 ... Not a lot and only is roughly a 6 % discount .. Better than nothing .. Also they have limited drive shafts coming in for autos .

Installing a driveshaft is very easy, actually. You just need to make sure you line it up to the differential properly. Any advertised weight differences?

EDIT: "The Driveshaft also has a benefical weight loss versus the 31.50lb stock driveshaft. These shafts weigh 15lbs less than stock driveshaft. The shafts are constructed of 3.5" tubing with .125" wall aluminum."

They will be receiving a call - this will match the supercharger very nicely!

A lighter driveshaft will free up ponies from rotational mass. You won't gain flywheel horsepower, but you will gain wheel horsepower for sure. I remember when someone put a 7 pound carbon fiber driveshaft on their car and made a constant 30whp compared to their stock 2 piece driveshaft in their G35. That was back to back to back Dynos too.

You might not make 30whp, but I would imagine at least 15 - 20whp.

I'm definitely game for this but I called Z1 a few weeks ago (ordered some other stuff) and unfortunately they haven't finished development of the driveshaft for sedans! If this GB gets going, please inquire as to the sedan driveshaft....if so, I'm in.
