Changing tensioner pulley without completely removing belt?
Changing tensioner pulley without completely removing belt. Possible? Can I just loosen the tension on the belt, unbolt the undercar shield and replace the tensioner pulley from underneath? Think I'll have enough slack to install the new one without completely taking off the belt?
I've got a squeak on cold start up, and I'm somewhat sure it's coming from the tensioner pulley (no sure fire way to tell), but don't want to tackle it until this weekend if it's going to be a chore. Any help/advice appreciated!

Why not move the tensioner so load is taken off the belt. Spin all pulleys by hand. Replace any rough ones. Don't think you need to fully remove the belt to do so. I swapped my belt last year without removing the underside cover. Just the overflow tank and one of the pulleys.
