I'm assuming this isn't normal?
 

Friend of mine has a G37 as well and he says this doesn't happen to his 2012. It's an elongated beep after shutting off engine and some clicking/knocking? Mine's a 2011 a bit above 100k Miles now. Visit the link posted below.

That beeping can be caused when you leave your lights on upom shut-off.

Still does it with lights off.

My '11 sedan beeps if I have the door open when I turn it off while the driver's door is open.

The beep sounds like the "emergency" beep (I don't know what its actually called)you get if you close the doors with the car in gear and the car is off.

I don't know about the clicking/knocking and I didn't hear it in the video.

I haven't heard that noise in decades. Someone in my family had a car that made that noise back when I was a kid. But back then I was too young to bother wondering what it was! And today I still have no clue. Can't wait to find out!

Not the quick *beep* *beep* *beep* sound lol. That's because my door was open while shutting the engine off. I'm talking about the *beeeeeeeeeeeeeep* *clank* *clank* sound Lol. So weird typing this out.

Yeah, the beep I was describing is the long constant beep (i.e. not the short beep you get from leaving the key inside or the lights on)

oh thats weird. its def not normal try trace where its coming from. under hood? interior?

Under the hood. That's why I stuck my my phone outside of the cabin so you guys can hear it better.

I'd try to source where that grinding sound is coming from....have someone stand in front or you can and see if you can zero in on that.

Mine does the same when shutting off. Something in the engine coming to a stop.

I think I have that noise whenever I turn off my car while doing something. Like if I have my door open, my lights on, etc. Even if the problem is fixed, I will still have the beeping noise. It's just a warning.
