G37 Remote Control Intermittent Doesn't Work

2010 G37 Sedan

For the last 2 days my remote has not been working properly. I would have to press unlock/lock button repeatedly (3-5 times). Once it unlock or lock then everything works normal until the next time I drive. I noticed if I go too far away from car, I'm back to square 1 (pressing 3-5 times)

Battery has been change. 2nd remote will not respond to (3-5 times) at all.

Please advise.

sounds like the remote itself is taking a dump.

Remote work flawlessly but you have to get it to work ala pressing lock/unlock 3-5 times.

Update.. Remote fail on me once I tried to lock car after driving. Guess can rule out signal or signal loss out. U guess it... I would have to press 3-5 times lock or unlock to make it work to lock car after driving.

for the second time, your remote is taking a dump. cleaning it is not going to help so don't waste your time. you probably have a crack or loose solder on the circuit board.

I have a second remote & it is not responding. It was tested about a yr ago or so. It's not my primary & it is not even working

that is because your second remote is completely dead. if you tested it by replacing the battery and it still does not respond then the remote is bad. the current remote that you are stating which takes 3-5 presses inorder for it to work is starting to take a dump. so unless you want your current remote to end up with the same symptom of not working like your secondary remote go get an additional remote made.

if you've tried fresh batteries in 2 separate remotes, it's probably something else. Have you done anything to your car recently, no matter how minor?

BCM module change a yr ago.. That's the last thing electronically. Still got my money on remote re-programmed but dealership said battery. No cost for me so happy camper. Hope information helps the next person.

Have great weekend all

failing batteries cause these cars to do funky things. When my battery was failing the alarm would randomly go off.
