I've been searching for the last 2 hours or so but can't find the info I need. Anyways I woke up this morning and it was kind of chilly for Texas around 33* or so and when I turned on my g37 It started shaking bad and I have a check engine light for multiple cylinder misfires. Autozone recommended spark plugs but I just don't see that as being my problem. I've googled and only thing I found is possible cats being clogged and bad gas. I filled up 40-50 miles ago so I'm not sure if that is the problem and the reason I'm asking for advise is I only have 700miles on my warranty and the nearest dealer is 100 miles away so I just wonder if I'm missing anything. It has a steady cel unless I give it gas then it blinks. So is it possibly just spark plugs?

Probably best to get it in to the dealer ASAP for evaluation. That way if something major is wrong you've got it documented before you warranty expires.

I had a similar CEL go on earlier this year and my service advisor mentioned the same cylinder misfires.... my car was still under warranty at that time and the dealership fixed it. My SA said the tech couldnt find anything wrong and double checked the error. They were able to clear it with a ECU reset. Haven't had the same problem since. So if you're still under warranty, best thing to do is bring it in to your dealer.

Will it be ok to drive this 100 miles this way to the dealership? And is there any way they can use the grounding kit or z1 tubes as an excuse to not warranty this? Common sense says no and I know they would have to prove it was the cause but just would like to know if I should bother taking either off

Hmmmm, not sure if it's ok to drive it that far. If I remember correctly, I was driving with the CEL light on for a day or two. But that was way less than 100 miles. If the CEL is accurate and it was the cylinders misfiring then I would think its bad for the engine. Maybe others can chime in?

At that time I had the my Injen SRI's and exhausts on. They never mentioned about my mods being the cause. That depends on each dealership.

Called them they will tow it in for FREE WOOT! now I have to figure out how to get there for a loaner car :/ I'll probably take the tubes off for peice of mind and leave the ground kit. Thanks for info

if you use low octane gas that maybe be a reason why, I see it all the time. Use 91 or higher (if you state has it)

Pull the grounding kit too. Best not to give them any reason to deny a warranty claim.

I use 93 octane I considered bad gas but the day before filled up 3/4 of the way but I had driven enough to get down to half a tank and didn't have issues till
The next morning. Then I went ahead and filled up half a tank with 93 from a different gas station and didn't notice a difference. Tow truck is supposed to be here at 8:30 am I don't think I'll have a chance to pull the kit since I have to take my daughter to school :/ hope for the best.

Mice chewed up a wiring harness :/ 500+ and no under warranty. We lived out here in tr country for years and this is the first time this happens smh. O well

Glad you found the culprit but damn those mice. What business do they have chewing up wire harnesses anyway?!

It's warm and mice chew. Apparently it's decently common :/ I hope it doesn't happen again and pardon the typos on the last post.
