Don't have time to take it to the dealer for 15k

Do you have to take the car to the dealer for the 15k service? I'm wondering cause i'm in due need of an oil change, but just haven't had the time with school and the dealer now being an hour away and everything. I'm getting ready to go on a long drive this afternoon and want to get my oil changed before I leave. Will I be ok taking it to like a quick lube place, or will the dealer try to give me issues about warranty and stuff next time i take it in?

I'm pretty sure you can take it to a quick lube place as long as you keep your receipt. You can even do it yourself as long you keep your receipt for the items to show you change your oil so they don't blame it on you for keeping it unmaintained. This is how my dealership is so I don't know about yours. Also for the 15k service I think they just change your in-cabin air filter.

K, thats what i figured but wasn't sure. I just am wonder cause its the 15k change and don't the check on some other stuff too?

You should be fine taking it to a quik lube place IMO. If anything just keep your receipt.

They basically just check all the fluid level, brakes, and other thing but I'm pretty sure you should be ok with a quick lube place.

Just got off the phone with the service dept. Said it was cool as long as I keep the paper work. Asked about the other stuff for the 15K and its stuff I've taken care of. Battery wiperblades, check alignment etc. Just had new tires so all thats good, and I got injens so no need to replace air filters.

I'm pretty much fck if something happen to my engine. I never kept any of my receipts for the oil and oil filter.

shame shame jqueen.....but if you're doing your oil changes correctly, you shouldn't have an oil related failure :)

There's a whole list of items the dealer checks during service (my last service had a checklist of like 60 something items)

Well of course, they have to clean all the sand out of cracks on your car and etc and make sure there are no bombs
