My 2010 G37xs won't turn off after trying to reprogram a spare Key

Hello everyone,
So I bought a spare key for my G37XS so I can have a second key in an event I lost the original key.
However when I started programming the key I ran into some problems. Before I began programming, the car was working normal, so I used Humzor ns706 and this is not the first time I have used this device to programme key for this particular car... On this day however when programming the key after releasing the steering column when it got to the part where I am supposed to turn the car off so it will go into key registration mode.... The car refused to go off I did everything I could but it wouldn't off until I removed the battery... I tried again it didn't work still, I used consult 3 plus to programme the car again after the Humzor failed... What I noticed was the consult was failing whenever it asked me to put the BCM code which I did... The same code that I had used to release the steering on the Humzor 706.. and yes before you all ask it's the correct code that was the code I used to programme the key initially.. now here is what the car is doing if I open the door and enter and push the start button there will be no message on the dash it was supposed to say "no key detected" or "press brake to start icon" and car wont go to ACC mode if I insert key in key slot there is no indicator on the dash that shows there's a key in the slot, however if the key is inserted and I turn on the ignition the car will skip ACC mode and go straight to ON yet it won't start it won't turn off...
I have tried another BCM the same issue, I have even tried another steering lock column the same issue still
Please has anyone faced this issue before?

UPDATE:
I was able to find the problem, turns out the gear selector switch was broken so the car doesn't know it was in park that was why it's not going off, after I fixed the selector it shuts off automatically and the key was programmed easily

That makes sense. How does one turn the car off if the pushbutton doesn't work? Curious.

Will it shut down if you disconnect one side of the battery?

Just wondering as I've driven cars where the battery was literally shorted, but the the car ran fine once started. Likely the connection itself is monitored, to if there is an open (vs. short), the car is shut down.

Another way is to disconnect fuel pump relay or fuse, car will Shutt off immediately

I believe another way to make an "emergency" engine shutoff is to hold down the start button for some seconds, like rebooting a computer. I've never tried this but I read about it in some article about what to do if your accelerator pedal gets stuck...

I tried it, didn't work at all.

Huh. This is from my 2103 G37 owner's manual:

Do not operate the push-button ignition
switch while driving the vehicle except in an
emergency. (The engine will stop when the
ignition switch is pushed 3 consecutive
times or the ignition switch is pushed and
held for more than 2 seconds.) If the engine
stops while the vehicle is being driven, this
could lead to a crash and serious injury.
