This is the issue I have when it's cold: https://www.myg37.com/forums/body-in...ml#post3992582

Here is a quote from an email from Ray: "Sourcing the cores have always been an issue for us in the past. We’ve gone through factories that made cores which shrink in cold weather, as well as ones that are hard to remove once installed."

For anyone with the new ***** encountering the gap issue. Below is the solution from Ray.

I spoke with the factory this morning. The problem is that the splines inside the cores of the ***** were not designed to automatically line up with the spoke on the radio, so if you place them on the spoke just slightly misaligned, they will not push in. The factory did test every single **** for fitment prior to shipping them to me, so they guarantee the ***** will fit. They recommend taking the ***** out and try pushing them in again. As long as the splines line up they will definitely fit and be flush with no gap.

If I push any harder the damm dials will go through the dash. Still a gap- not severe, but noticeable.

So I had not tried it yet when I posted Ray's response, but I just attempted to refit them and there's no difference. Still a bit of a gap. There doesn't seem to be a specific way to align the **** to the dial as suggested by Ray.

Re-aligning the ***** works for some people, while others are still having that issue.

The factory guaranteed me that every **** was tested with an actual panel. But if you guys are still having trouble then it's unacceptable. Anyone who can not resolve the gap issue by re-aligning the ***** please e-mail me to get this sorted out. Sorry for the trouble.

So, have you guys resolved this? I was about to order these, but would prefer to have a confirmation that the gap issue is resolved. Please let us know!

I received mine this week and installed them yesterday. They fit very snug and required a lot of force to get them in.

Yep, same here. No gap, but definitely *lots* of force. My thumbs hurt for a day afterwards.
