Angry Just Venting

So I took my car to the dealer, Rear diff bushing, drivers outside door button, transmission hesitation.. So They said trans was about a pint over full, I had the car since 38k miles it has 63k miles on it.. Well, they drained some fluid out, and reprogrammed it. Problem fixed.. Door button worked the whole time they had it, so no fix. The warranty company would not fix the rear diff bushing, due to it being part of the frame. WTF, isn't that a good reason to fix it or is it just me?? well, I will just do the Z1 bushings... Anyone know where to get just the rubber driveshaft coupler??? only the rubber coupler and not the whole driveshaft??

Well at least the transmission responds better. it cost me $144 plus tax, but it was worth it.

What warranty do you have? They generally don't "fix" the bushing, they replace the whole subframe assembly.

I have an extended warranty through the bank. It was there to replace the whole frame. Its the only way the dealer does it... but it was denied.

I only was going to have them do it, because i needed the other stuff done.

Just go with one of the poly replacements. I got the bushing and install for ~$500. Or leave it broken.

The "guibo" (rubber isolator on the driveshaft) is not available seperately. An overseas member has put a lot of effort into locating a direct replacement, or even something close, to no avail.

Same stupid reasoning by Infiniti as the diff bushing.

If you decide to replace the bushing, I have the Z1 removal tool available.

Well, I am going to do this, this weekend. To make it last till the Winter when hopefully Florida wont be as hot... But I plan on doing the Z1 bushing and maybe even the cradle bushings kit as well.
I wish the stupid driveshaft bushing was separate, Mine has slight cracks in it and it would be nice to change it while I have that part of drive shaft off.. ooh well.

do u guys feel harsh vibration or something with the busted bushing? im sure mine has popped but i dont feel anything so im not gonna waste any energy fixing it. car seems fine

I replaced mine before it went, just because. Usually, people discover a leak running down the backside of the diff which is the bushing fluid.

but beside the leak, which i saw dried and cleaned off, i dont feel anything that is an issue. so i dont see a point in trying to fix it lol

After watching the video on Z1's web site regarding the Z1 bushing collars, there was no way I could tolerate an intact bushing, let alone one that had ruptured.

I rolled with a busted bushing for about a year. It's one of those things that becomes the new normal. When I replaced it, I realized how sloppy it was, and the clunk in the 1-2 shift was gone.

If you've already cleaned the bushing puke off, it's definitely busted.

So i headed over to home depot. Picked up some JBWeld quick setting 4400 tinsel strength epoxy with mixing straw. $9.00 for 2 tubes.
I cut a hole in the cavity to make sure it was clean and empty. I also used this hole to inject the epoxy. I filled up the cavity till it leaked out, then just emptied the 2 tubes into it. I forgot to put a catch pan down, so i got a bit of it in the driveway... ooh well..
I will let you guys know how it worked out.
For me this is only temporary, till the winter when I hope Florida will be cooler so I can put the Z1 bushings in.

I've seen that fix before. Was meaning to do it to my own 07. From that previous post I saw, it held up pretty well with epoxy.

I do notice, but I drive aggressive. Most of the time its when using sport mode and the paddles and im sitting in a gear and holding one speed its a little jerky. Or hard acceleration, you can feel it a little with gear changes. Besides, I cant stand leaking or broken stuff. Like knowing my driveshaft rubber cushion has a few small cracks in it... uugh.
