Slats and sides of the Fuji painted Black Obsidian, perimiter painted Moonlight White to match the car.
OMG, I think this picture might be five years old. In full disclosure, MW is the kind of 3-stage paint that ages differently on different surfaces, so nowadays the perimeter is slightly more white than the rest of the car. Whatever, still mostly looks like this, which is 10x stock, IMO.

It was relatively expensive... $275. Because Moonlight White is expensive paint, being 3-stage. So there were a total of four painting sessions, (Black, MW step 1, step 2, and clear coat). And there were two masking efforts. So not cheap, but reasonable considering time & materials.
Over the years here on the forum, I've seen this custom design technique a few times, matching the perimeter with the body color. Each time the result looks so right. Infiniti should have offered this design right from the factory, IMO.

Yes. I had an auto body shop do the work, who said they had experience in painting plastics with a chrome overlay.

Painting the perimeter the color of the car is like wearing flesh-colored lipstick. It just looks a bit off in a way that's hard to describe until you realize what they're going for.
