need advised.

i have 2012 nissan altima 2.5s. i just finished paying it off last january, but since last month i'm thinking about getting a awd sedan in the likes of lexus or infiniti. since i'm kinda tight on my budget i choose the infiniti g37 and there's available near on my place, and for me it's a really good deal. it's 2011 graphite shadow with only 45k mileage for $25k. but i'm kinda hesitating, it's just i don't want to pay $400 monthly again for 3-4 years, on the other hand i want it because i really like it. what do you guys think?

To give you an idea, I paid $19,900 without tax for my 2011 G37S Sedan with 56,000 miles about 20 months ago. And since then, the prices of G's have gone down. I think that is way too high for that vehicle, personal opinion

If your budget is tight without a car payment, don't buy another car unless the one you have isn't running. Wait until you financial situation is much better.

hmm are you trying to look good going broke? if so go right ahead, cut back on other creature comforts like taking out your gf and getting some nookie or having a nice decent meal once in awhile. at least you can be ghetto fabulous.

That is a TERRIBLE deal.

I have a 2011 G37 I bought in 2015 with 26k miles for $24k.

Prices for G37 sedans have gone WAY DOWN.

I recently looked to see how much used 2011-2013 G37 sedans were going for so I would have a idea how much my car is worth used and all the searches averaged about $15-$17k. The ones with lower than average mileage were going for close to $20k

$25k is dumb. Don't be stupid.

FWIW OP, I paid about $10k for my 2008 G35xS with 120k on the clock. I normally wouldn’t look at cars with mileage that high but this car was dealership maintained at the same dealer it was bought from by the same person (bought new in 2008) until I purchased it. It’s in absolutely immaculate condition and I’ve got a warranty on it from that same dealership for as long as I own it. Other than minor wear and tear items these cars are essentially bulletproof.

$25k for anything other than an S model/IPL with the upgraded brakes/6MT at this current point in time is absolutely insane to me.

Obviously stretching your budget when you have a working car is not a good idea. Are you planning on trading in the Altima? Cause that would help with your payments. Otherwise save up by putting the money that you were paying monthly on the Altima and use that as a down payment.

As far as the one you're looking at, it's not a good deal. I get 12 hits when searching autotrader within 500 miles for 2011+ G37 awd sedan, under 45k miles, under $19k, certified. With the lowest being just under $18k. You could probably negotiate a little off from there too.

I bought my 2011 G37x premium in September of 2014 with 24k miles on it for $22k in CT. Yours is not a deal. I think you answered your own question. You said you dont want to pay $400 a month for another 3 to 4 years after you just paid off your car, so dont. Just cause you want it isn't a good enough reason to go into debt, not to mention if something goes wrong with he car you will have no money to fix it. food for thought both of my rear brake calipers froze on me not at the same time). Thank good I had the extended warranty cause one Infiniti caliper cost about 600 to 700 bucks, thats $1400 bucks just for calipers. Take you money save it and invest it for the future. Financial independence is way better than driving around in an over price G any day.

Overpriced, keep looking.

Just for reference, I bought my 2012 XS for $22k out the door with 30k miles in 2015.

Wow, I got one of those, but it is a G37s not awd. It just reached 170k and I didn't even notice. I paid 10k last year. If I find something nicer, you can have it for 15k.

Guess you aren't from around these parts CA that is.

That's a lot. I paid $25k on my 2013 with 34k mi more than 2 years ago.

Don't buy an AWD car right before winter when they are in top demand. Enjoy driving around without a car payment for a while
