In a couple years I will weigh the available options, not having a German auto maker within 100 miles of where I live really limits my options when you start to think about arranging service.... heck there isn’t even a Subie dealer lol. I like having four doors and three pedals. May just go with a Boosted Performance Twin Scroll kit and keep the G. It’s depressing, but it isn’t at the same time.

OP, I am looking more and more at the Leaf, I wouldn’t even have to pay to charge it because we have stations at my work. I would get the advantage of close parking, as long as there’s enough stations to go around... 3000 people work there so morning parking is a rat race I simply avoid by trying to hide the G in the furthest lot.

Hmmmm Leaf + ATS-V or G

The new Leaf is really nice and might be good for you if you can charge it at work. How quick do the chargers fill up or does no one really drive electric there yet? I have often thought of getting another Leaf as a cheap lease or even buy a cheap used one, but then I would also get an ultimate performance car like a Lotus Elise or Corvette Z06 to satisfy the gear head in me. The last time I had a Leaf I did not even own it 3 months before also picking up an E46 M3.

They just created the charging stations last fall, there might be 15 of them... for now. I’ll have to start paying attention to the availability to decide if it’s viable. At $100 a week in gas ($1.40 a litre right now for 91) it would pay for itself and then some.

Jaguar XKRS. Or another SC300 but this time with a GTE 2JZ swap and the V160 trans. Gosh nothing rides like an SC on the highway. So smooth and comfy.

I can't imagine replacing my G with a car that is going to be at least 18 years old

Not sure if this has been thrown out there yet, but I'd bet money that my next vehicle will be the new Acura RDX A-Spec with an intake, downpipe, and conservative Hondata tune making about 260AWHP AND 290AWTQ. I figure in 2-3 years the products and tuning knowledge will be out there to make this an easily achievable package.

I was initially looking at the Audi SQ5, but this package would have similar performance for less money and likely be more reliable.

Might as well just get an Accord touring with the 2.0T and get the superior dynamics and lighter weight of a car, along with the available 6MT

FWD, 6MT, and a sedan are all things that I do NOT want in my next vehicle. I'm looking for an SUV with AWD, AT w/ paddle shifters, and some go. The SQ5 fits the bill perfectly, but the price and maintenance are hard to swallow. I'm also a Honda fan at heart, my Accord EX-L V6 coupe was a great car.
