The auto-only transmission further limits after-market options as well.
I'm hoping for that kind of depreciation to see if a 2018 model comes down to the mid 20's by mid-2020.

As for modding, I'm not going to do much. I haven't done much to my G except for wheels and window tint. I'm an old man now that just wants this for a daily driver, and I already have the project car that gets all the mods. Hell, if the bolt pattern and offset on the Stinger are correct, I might even re-use my Enkei Raijins on it. But if the Stinger comes with 20 inch wheels, then I'd have to sell the Enkei's.

I'm sure the tunes have something to do with it, but a tuner, orangevirus, is advising people not to buy the red sport due to so many engine issues even on stock cars.

Since I am in my low 20s and have owned my G37S since late 2015, I think I am going to try and buy a stick shift while I'm young. Than when I get a great job and everything, buy a nice automatic daily, such as a BMW or something. So I might be looking into buying a 370z soon. Not too sure if I am ready yet as I made a post about it before but with all of these turbo builds in 350s and 370z that's been happening made me want one

I'd say he's full of it...but there's a lot of RS400s with 'lemon' tags for sale at a huge discount. Some weight to those words.

G gas mileage to performance ratio has me a little disappointed. In that context a GTI/Golf R/335i sound appealing. GTIs are getting really cheap too.

The TL is no more. That is the TLX, which is already out in A-Spec trim, and pretty interesting.

One car I really wanted to like, but thought did not look great in pictures was the BMW M2. I think it is the front and rear bumpers that need to be changed.

Anyway, we have a brand new 2018 in our body shop in white that looks fantastic in person. I still think the bumpers could be styled a lot better, but this car looks much better in person than in photos. I bet they change the styling a bit with the new CS and CSL. The CS could be a possibility...

I'd love to get back into a 2 door, so probably a Jaguar XKR-S. If not that...maybe an L322 Range Rover.

I have an 18 mile commute to work and it takes a hour in good conditions. Winter is 2-3 hours.

My next car is a 2018 Nissan Leaf. It will drive for me in traffic (ProPilot!) and cost pennies per mile, saving me $3,000 per year

I will keep the G37 for the weekends.

Z1 Motorsports just posted up a new Q50 3.0T (non-Red Sport) that they tuned to well over 400hp and over 600 lb/ft. of torque. What a monster!?! Now if only it came with a stick shift that might be a contender...

I don't know that a Leaf will have the charge capacity to go that distance AND keep the cabin heated.

With VW throwing done a 6 year 72,000 mile bumper-to-bumper warranty, it kinda makes a compelling argument for a Golf R. Depending on what's going on with the MK7/8 redesign, I might jump ship this time next year.

MT is dying, and I want to make sure I have 5-6 years of runway. Hatchback flexibility would help since we got rid of the SUV and are a 2 car household.

Funny, that is exactly the same thing I thought when I heard about the new warranty. Then I remembered that if I got a Golf R I might actually make it a whole month before I tune it from APR and void the warranty.

Looking forward to see where the GTI lands when it's the G's time... a 4dr with the LSD and big screen infotainment is all I need. I'd be OK with the DSG though. $2K a year in gas savings would also be nice... well more now that it supposedly runs on regular.
