^^^ what i would give for a 3 or 4 car garage with a toy or two. drool. out here that is a $1M garage...literally. we are around $1000/ft2 and up for housing. makes it a bit tough to justify unless a guy heads out to the 'burbs.

Here... not my pic, but this is the interior, exactly like this. Not too shabby for a little crossover.

$1m for a garage

My 3 car garage is a little less than 800 sq ft, and my house was far less than $1m

yup, the foreign (as well as local) real estate speculation has driven prices on the west coast through the roof. the gov't brought in a 15% foreign buyer tax last year but the damage has been done. mention 'real estate' in Vancity and you are sure to spark a heated discussion.

we also have a new vacancy tax to deter foreign buyers from buying and holding houses empty as prices inflate. tons of empty homes sitting meanwhile local, tax paying residents cannot find homes to rent/buy.

example: my folks own a 1920's bungalow, ~2500ft2 on a 33'x120' lot. some renos, but no garage at all. its assessed value from June 2016 is $3.1M at well over $1300/ft2, but market values are typically +15-20% higher, and that number is over a year old anyways. they paid $140k in the late 80's.

a friend of mine just bought an 800 ft2 condo, 1 bed/bath for $950k. he had sold his smaller 550ft2 condo for $650k.

makes no sense, but that's the end result of very loose speculation controls and questionable motivations for the provincial government to bring in stricter regulation. not to mention collusion within the realtor 'brotherhood'. we should've had a system like Sydney Australia a long time ago.

My wife's Moonlight White sedan shares the garage with my Graphite Shadow.

The i35 and F150 are relegated to outdoor accommodations.
