Infiniti Cabon Fiber Tire Valve Caps

Has anyone tried these tire valve caps? I went ahead and ordered a set just to try. About a month shipping time...WTH. Not in a hurry to get them so no big deal. What other caps do our members use? Right now I use plain chrome which I like. I read in some reviews that metal caps in general can fuse to the valve by way or rust. Now that would be a nightmare. I've never run into this issue because of So Cal weather. Anyway, thought I'd let everyone know about these if you didn't know already.

I know. I'm trying to fix the link but can't figure out how to do it via iPhone.

copy and paste the link until I can figure this damn thing out. Don't have access to my computer so I can't fix it now. Maybe if Brad sees this, he'll fix it for me.

Not so sure about those. I had a weird set, similar to those on an Integra years ago. They were really cheap. But, the reviews for them are pretty good, so maybe they will be decent?

I just use a pretty mundane set, see link below. I really just wanted a replacement for the green caps I had, due to nitrogen filled tires. Oh, and I wanted to be sure they had a good o-ring, for sealing purposes.

They look long, like they would extend further than a typical cap... which is a hard-stop for me on my front wheels. 19" Vossens need a TPMS adapter with a short valve stem in order to clear the Akebono front calipers.

If it weren't for that, I'd probably buy a set. They look nice.

These look nice, too. Shorter, I think. And OEM...really? Hmmmmm.

Be real careful with these. The ads say, "Metal Carbon Fiber" which may mean the caps are metal with the CF wrapped around. Metal to metal contact of different materials causes corrosion. There may come a day when you will need to replace the entire valve stem since you cannot remove the cap. YMMV

I have a set of those as well. Just wanted to try something different. I'll swap them out every now and then. I hope they're not cheap.

Great point. Could be an issue with your calipers. I don't have to worry because I have the lame non-sport calipers.

Thanks for the info. I read other issues people are having with almost every valve cap I've read reviews on. Looks like it's a real issue and we need to be aware of the potential risks. The only safe bet is to pick-up plastic ones and I won't be going there anytime soon. Which caps are you using?
