Analog clock running fast?

I just picked up a G37S (2013) and noticed that the analog clock runs faster than it should. Is this a known, common problem? Any fix other than replacing the clock?

It seems to gain a half hour when sitting for eight hours.

That seems really bad. My analog clock keeps perfect time. It has been matched up to the clock on the screen since I got it 6 months ago.

i think someone else has started a thread on their clock skipping forward in time. i don't think its a common issue on these cars. if anything the damn clock light burning out is much more common on our vehicles. if you are not bothered by the incorrect time then just leave it, otherwise you'll have to replace the clock.

Does anybody know how to DIY replace analog clock? I need to know how to open the dashboard and get to that clock.

I thought mine was running slow, but it might just be where I set it last. Does your Clock Light work though? Mine does. There is a DIY write up for the clock somewhere. Don't remember where.

2009 G37x. The exact same thing just started happening to my clock. I hope somebody can give me an idea of what’s causing it before the dealer tries to charge me an arm and a leg. Lol

Maybe its like a mechanical watch and runs fast with a lot of motion.

So take it easy of those back roads, fellas...

Anyone take apart a bad clock to see what is going on? Sounds exactly like a resistor or it’s solder burning out. Could be a very easy fix.

I thought the clock was just a decoration. I can't remember the last time I actually looked at it for time.
