I can't decide what to get between a long or short air intake.... what y'all recommend

I've had my R2C intakes for over a year, I know many members on here have them as well. Great sounding at WOT and really amazing quality/looks. Install is really simple as well. So I would recommend them as well to anyone.

when i go intake i go cai. sri makes no sense to me bc its just like oem but inferior imo.

If mechanically inclined, go CAI and go with Takeda. Stillen isn't worth the headache TBH and the Takeda can be converted to dual cones.

If not mechanically inclined, prefer looks, sound and performance doesn't matter - Go R2C. They sound awesome and look super aggressive....despite not really improving performance.

Stillen requires you to chisel/cut you radiator support. Been a minute since I looked at CAIs but Takeda is a plug & play with no modifications from what I recall.

How is that possible though? I just did my stillen gen 3 it wasn't that bad honestly. I'm just curious how takeda could be an easier since I'd imagine any CAI would need those holes enlarged.

Do you have the takeda?

I installed one a couple weeks back, and yes, you can squeeze the rubber couplings through and massively distort them.....or, like the stillen, you can enlarge the holes. Considering the opening is plastic, I don't know why you wouldn't expand the opening.

I have the Stillen. I remember reading about people installing it and while yes, it changes in diameter in order to fit, it doesn't require modification. It's easy to modify the opening but at the end of the day, who wants to cut into their car??? I was definitely making the face while cutting away. For simplicity sake, I say go with Takeda. Power wise they're the same + or - 1-2 hp.

I'd say whichever is cheaper, which I found to be the takeda.

I enlarged the inlets. The rubber coupling was crushed otherwise.

2 filters > 1.. didn't really like the fact that takeda essentially converted a dual intake system into some type of shared filter component..(IMO)..
Stillen comes with splash guard.. Takeda you have to buy separate


I was in the same boat as you this past December.. go with whatever makes you happy but if its performance I would say Stillen. If your looking for simple install and practicality then go Takeda. And go r2c if u jus want some looks in the bay..
