lol mine snapped too. It's made of plastic apparently instead of metal. Thanks Nissan!

Mine only has 175k right now. I was thinking perhaps soon replacing the spark plugs and even the coils. I wish some high power coils were available at a decent price. I found some for $1500 which is ludicrous. MSD for Mustang V8s are around 300. Doubt any of it does too much.

at 98K miles

I'm at 98k miles and I've replace the battery, wheel bearing and the upper radiator hose. It's been a reliable car. I try to do most of the maintenance items myself except when it comes to the transmission drain and refill. I plan on taking it to Infiniti to get it done.

Makes me worry. So is there a metal solution to this plastic problem? Did you discover when changing something or did it just fail?

2011 g37x with 69k miles. bought it with 32k. Only thing i had to replace was the battery, clean the throttle because sometimes the car would feel like it was shutting off at stops (this solve the problem by the way) and a window trim (thank god this was cover by basic warranty when i first bought it used)

‘12 sedan 57K miles here. So far my list of issues are

- Starter and battery needed to be replaced at around 45K
- Passenger and rear passenger carpets wet after heavy rain (still haven’t gotten this fixed even after clearing sunroof drain)
- 1 Caliper not fully releasing pad causing uneven wear on pads. The caliper was repaired but the rear pads had to be replaced.

Other than that car has been solid for the most part.

I have a 44-mile commute to work, so I rack up miles at a furious pace. But obviously cruising at 60mph for most of the drive makes them relatively easy miles. I sort of think wear should be measured in hours rather than miles, at least for the actual engine.

In any case, I bought my 2011 XS sedan in late 2014 with 57k miles on it and now I'm right around 157k. I've stayed ahead of some maintenance with upgrades - swaybars at 75k, lowered with springs, struts, camber arms & endlinks at 90k, RHFC's at 100k, BBK, rotors, & pads at 120k, Diff bushings at 130k, Catback just recently.

I did some other general maintenance in replacing the acc belt at 110k and the plugs at around 120k, and all four O2 sensors just now. (two were throwing codes) And obviously fluids. The only things that I've replaced that weren't expected wear items or an upgrade were the two front wheel bearings, a cv shaft due to the boot being torn up, (lowered, ftw!) and the valve covers due to one leaking. (you could probably argue the wheel bearings are wear items) That all comes at you pretty fast when you're driving 33k miles per year, but I feel like if you ignore all the optional stuff, it's not bad at all for 157k. Still runs, drives, and looks great. I'm planning on 225k before replacement in a couple of years.

I knew what kind of miles I'd be driving when I chose the G over a Bimmer. I shudder to think of the cost...

07 g35s with 125k still runs great and all I've had to do so far is just regular maintenance for the time I've had it.

2008 G37s 6MT

New Oct. 2007 - I am original owner.
103,000 miles - primarily 36 miles/day in crazy traffic
Only reg. dealer servicing
Issues:
- Creaky/groaning in front end when cold and moving slowly/turning - like when navigating out of a parking lot; it was a lubrication issue - was something that didn’t get lubed at factory but should have according to my service rep......he said they saw this routinely on new models at that time. Once lubed properly it’s been quiet since.
- Front brakes serviced once
- Could (and still can) feel a vibration in tranny while holding hand on shifter during deceleration...maybe between 35-45 mph range. Dealer took concern and held car for a few days...checked it out, and determined it was normal.
- That damn chattering from clutch (bearings?) when at idle...embarrassing in a drive-thru for such a nice car.

Aside from this....it’s been a reliable ride and still runs great.

Just bought a 2010 g37 sedan, $139k miles on it. 1 owner and maintained at regularly scheduled intervals at the dealer... From what I saw, has never had any major issues. Knock on wood...
