That would be great as it is a tight fit with a helmet on track days

I was just about to order the resistors to trick the side airbag sensors. I know it was mentioned a long time ago to just get 2.2 Ohm resistors. I see 2.2 Ohm resistors in 1/4, 1/2, and 1W. Does that matter? Just want to make sure I order the right parts. Thanks!

Thinking something like this would work?

I used the below listed 2 ohm 1/2 watt resistors, but anything around 2 or 2.2 ohms should work.

I also purchased a pack of these to help me tap into the factory wire harness without having to cut it up.

Awesome thanks! I will order those tomorrow. Just waiting on a gift card from work to order the seat.

Did the hardware that came with your Bride brackets work with mounting your Cobra seat or did you have to get separate hardware?

Yup, the Bride brackets came with all the necessary hardware, so assuming your new seat uses the same bolt/thread size then you should be good to go.

2G- I ordered the same resistors you got and about half as many of the wire adapters last week (I still will probably never use them all in my lifetime). They should be here late this week or early next week. I am still waiting on a simple $100 gift card from work to save me the $$$ on my seat. If anything, this project has reminded me the value of patience.

I just got the resistors and wire ends so now all I need is the seat. I really thought I would have that by now, but my work is really dragging their feet on this gift card I won. I am assured I will have it by the end of the month... So hopefully, I can order the seat soon.

I finally ordered the Sparco R600 for the driver's side this morning after waiting most of October for a gift card from work. Murphy's law- They could only take one form of payment at OG racing so I didn't have to wait after all. Not that big a deal though as they beat Redline360's pricing w/ free shipping, have 7 of the seats in stock so it ships today, know what they are talking about, and have the same 30 day return policy as Sparco in case it does not fit me.

As a result, I would highly recommend OG racing if you need a seat. They made it easy. You would be amazed how many places I called that would not take a return on the seat or charged a huge restocking fee if it did not fit me. A number of other places wanted to charge me almost twice as much to ship the 35lb. seat as it cost me to ship 200lb. worth of wheels and tires across the country?!? Now I just hope the seat fits me. Fingers crossed.

So it's finally happening, eh?

What are your plans for the seat belt, if any? I mean, you like to play at the track, so a harness would probably be something in your future, now that your new lightweight seat supports it.

Doesn't Schroth make a pseudo-three-point harness to fit the V36? I had one in my B13 Sentra. It was almost as good as a true four-point.

If it arrives before I leave work on Tuesday, I should be able to install it on Wed on my day off. Otherwise, probably next weekend.

Actually, I am planning to keep the factory seat belts since the Bride seat brackets are supposed to have mounts for them. As much as I like track days, it will always spend the majority of it's time on the street.

Take a gander at the Rallye 3. You can keep your factory belts.
