Yeah it’s crazy they have seen it so many times and it just such a headache to be honest. I really hope it doesn’t happen again next year. I would buy aftermarket cooling systems upgrades but don’t want to buy it and then run into the same issue

My subframe was replaced recently too, I'm actually considering selling my car before the warranty expires...I've had a lot of problems with a car that shouldn't have so many issues that I know will be expensive to repair in the future.

I see that a lot of you complaining about G's. Maybe I was lucky, but all I have done on the car since I bought it in November 2018 was oil and filters changes, rear brake pads, and spark plugs. The car had 94,000 miles on it when I got it.

almost 3 years, 50,000 miles and I've had to replace nothing other than a rear caliper and other small quality of life things. I can't recommend enough buying a car with a good service record, and being some what pro-active when it comes to the recommended maintenance. I just drove like 3 hours in blizzard like conditions with temps lower than 0 and it takes it no problem. (my 07 X).

Why did you have to replace the subframe? Did the rear differential bushing start to leak?

I have had zero issues with my car (aside from ones I caused from mods) in almost 3 1/2 years of ownership. I am especially impressed as I regularly track the car in the warmer months.

I've had my 13 Sport since 2015??? 32,xxx miles. Now has 80,xxx. Had to replace the windshield washer fluid pump (paid someone actually as I'm not comfortable taking the bumper off). Also had to do the rear differential bushing at about 55,xxx miles. That was painful. Was about a $700 job with the bushings and the differential cover replacement (upgraded to Z1 finned). Going to need shocks soon I suppose. And spark plugs again. And tranny fluid around 110,000. Other wise car has been great.

So I would conclude that G37 is a pretty reliable car and the extended warranty is nor necessary.

That is a pretty safe conclusion, especially now that there is a company that makes a much larger entertainment screen for the center console if that ever goes bad. The nav screen and sunroof are the 2 things that I feared going wrong in my car. I got an extended warranty and it paid for 2 things that were way more expensive than the cost of the warranty, but they may have been my fault or not even needed.

Agreed. And of course it depends on drivers' habits. If you rev the car all the way down from each light, it might cause some engine replacements like somebody has mentioned earlier

I got my diff bushings replaced, if only I had known it had been done before it would have saved me some cash. If only Infiniti had cleaned the the diff cover I wouldn't have thought it needed it. The car only has 186k so I will have to get back to you when I put some miles on it. I have had the car since 2016 I had to replace the tires, and the oil, you might want to get the warranty. I had a warranty on a car before they never covered that stuff. I ended up paying 250 and canceling it after a month when they wouldn't cover any BMW suspension parts on my BMW.

My tires were like 340 and my oil is like 75 a year, so I don't see a reason to pay 2k for a warranty

I mostly drive my 2009 g37 like a old man except maybe some trips going thru the mountains. My extended warranty was not used once I only have 61k on it, hope it last another 60k without much trouble!
