Stock Grille vs Midnight Grille Standard?

I hit a deer with my 2011 G37xS sedan. Fortunately the only damage was to the grille. I know I have the stock chrome grille (623101NF1A) but the is the midnight grille (F23101NF1A) standard on the sport package for 2011? Or was that just a later option? Figure I can just replace with the standard grille without any problems but the more I google the more questions I ask.

Thanks in advance!

Thanks a lot! Sadly the deer went flying and was done for.

Nope. It was always an option, regardless of sport package.

Get the midnight grille. It will look great.

I absolutely LOVE the Midnight Grille. It should have come standard on these cars.

When I sell/trade mine in, I'm putting the chrome grille back on and selling the midnight grille on Craigslist. I feel the midnight grille will add nothing to the value of the car, but will sell for more than the chrome grille to a buyer.

IIRC, getting the grille off the car without breaking something is rare and hard to do. I'll have to research this to remember what typically breaks during this swap.

Only if the bolt posts are rusted. Otherwise, it's a no-brainer.

Are you referring to the radiator shroud? I think this is the item you have to pry...and it can crack easily.
