It's not leaking. Only way to check is evacuate the system and measure what you take out.

Dealer did this the first time and said the system was half empty. Had my mechanic do it the 2nd time and it measured a tad low but I had no way to tell if dealer filled it properly. After six months of disuse during winter, when I fired it up this year it still misbehaved. I assumed the coolant was low and had my guy evac and recharge again. Mass removed seemed proper, refill was correct but still no joy. Replaced the A/C control panel and that fixed it temporarily. So, one more try after a month of relatively mild temperatures and no A/C use. It's now overfilled but the system doesn't trip the over-pressure or under-pressure switches and it blows ice cold air when the compressor kicks on. Something electronic is cycling the compressor incorrectly. 20 seconds on and a couple minutes off for 20 minutes or so. If I'm on the freeway, it eventually stays on as it should but that 20 minutes sucks in Houston summer.

Interesting, I always thought loss of refridgerant meant leak for sure....your description of the cycling issues makes me speculate on it being the relay that going bad like in this thread https://g35driver.com/forums/general...ml#post5631244 ... not quite the exact same behavior but would have me looking in the same direction

Have to buy the FSM so I can find the relay. It's not labeled as such in the two relay boxes I can find. My mech said to start with it before going deeper into the electronics.

"burble pop" That made me smile.

I was watching a Genny Coupe in traffic the other day that snarled and popped like crazy. Took me a moment to realize that yes, it was in fact that little Hyundai making all that noise. Seemed like all kinds of fun... until it drives you nuts because it's all the time.

Hope to read about your results on this somewhere.

Hi John,

Thanx man, I did start a thread on here about it . The burbles should and would only after a certain RPM and throttle position so not all the time.

On my BWM is wasn't all the time. It only occurred when I the rev's were over 3k and depending how far above determined the sound( Loudness) of the burble. I was also able to determine how long it lasted, anywhere from 1 sec to 3, so not a lot of sound time. But would come in handing is someone was ticking me off driving, I'd drive past there window and downshift LOL

Really wasn't bad at all and yes for an older guys it wasn't bad

^^^
I'm intrigued. Seb can do this?

I had to postpone my tuning plans this year because of college costs for my kid. But it's still a goal, and I still want it done. I was all locked & loaded to use a local tuner with EcuTek, but the planning delay and "burble pops" has me thinking again, dammit. LOL

^^^ I would say yes he can, If MHD can do it Seb can . I think he's one of the best tuners out there. The guy from MHD/Twisted Tuning was good also.

I'll keep you posted on how it goes. I'm pretty excited to see what he can do

I don't know how much he charged for the end links. He did other work and it's not itemized. Between the end links and the A/C vac/fill and testing, the total was a buck-and-a-quarter.

It's not difficult, just raise the rear of the car. You don't even have to remove the wheels.

Are you going to get flexfuel composition sensor?

I'm in the process of getting this setup as well. Did my injectors the other night, now just retuning.
