I bought the car to drive, not to show. I drive 120 miles a day. There's no point trying to keep up with it.

When someone asks to see your car, showing them a beautiful engine bay is the icing on the cake.

That said, it helps if you don't drive it every day.

Well there's no real point in showing them the engine since it's stock anyways it is my daily driver after all. All of my mods have been for exterior appearance

Beyond a thumbs up, or "nice car" or "wow, that's 6MT" type comment, nobody has ever asked to see my car in a capacity that made me want to pop my hood

I've never cleaned my engine bay, the ROI on the time and effort it would take is zero. I'd rather shoot a few games of pool in my man cave, or a variety of other things.

I'll probably wipe it down when I'm ready to sell it

It was yesterday but my car got an oil change and both the inside and engine bay cleaned. First time for the engine bay, too.

Honestly, a clean engine bay is kind of a priority. Just is.

Engine bay
Exterior
Interior
Trunk

Yeah, I know... "trunk", LOL. Not to worried about the trunk, but it doesn't get ignored either.

Hey, off-topic (or on-topic kind of)... when I was talking with the leather upholsterer last weekend, he described to me a guy he knows who has a technique to "refinish" car seats. Specifically the center of leather seats where the finish wears off, because it happens to a lot of seats. My drivers seat has a growing patch, and no amount of care seems to be stopping it. So maybe I can do something about it this summer. That would be nice.

Yes, I'm slowly gathering parts and staging for my engine bay. All of the engine bays in my rides look good. Work in progress I guess.

So nothing specifically done to my Sedan today, er recently. But am getting a drawing made for it. The Infiniti will be the 4th piece of art that this guy has worked on and completed for me. His work is pretty amazing. See for yourselves. Thanks.

In addition to the other cleaning, I washed my car Saturday. It already needs another wash due to all the trees trying to have sex with it.

Can’t find anyone in Canada that will touch an engine bay due to all the corrosion inhibiter you find on the services.... they’ll tackle the black plastics but that’s the easy part. Which I had painted service like John... props brother

Figured I'd ask in here since the track section is dead....

Charlotte Speedway is having an open track event around their oval and through the infield (the "Roval"). What should I do to prep my RWD 7AT S? I've been meaning to get new front rotors (I changed them immediately after getting the car not even a year ago and they got hot spots pretty much right away- Centric Blanks I think), but other than that IDK. I'm thinking transmission and brake flush. Just did an oil change so I will just top that off. Happy with my pads (Hawk HPS I think). Def gonna give my suspension a look over. Any other ideas?
