Yes it is just a rubber lip with a CF pattern. Love it though, 30$.

I have a similar "axleback" that I had custom made with magnaflow 14851 mufflers. It sounds throaty and fantastic but there is a little drone. I hear it sounds very similar to the tanabe axleback, hence why I've been considering either a true dual resonated x-pipe setup (more $$$) or tossing in two vibrant resonators to reduce drone.

Yea pretty much removed the stock 18 inch ones and replaced with 12 inch.

Here's a short video of mine. Yes the OEM resonators were removed and the Vibrant resonators were installed in their place.

Cleaned my throttle bodies and it was pretty easy. It drove like a turd afterwards. I had to go to Home Depot but when I came back out, it was fine. I didn't disconnect any hoses or connectors but I did move the plate to get a good scrubbing. From what I've read, some people have moved the plates with no issues while others had issues. Next time I won't move it and see what happens. For the record, I have about 58k miles, the passenger side was filthy but the driver side wasn't bad at all. I thought it'd be pretty uniform.

I also changed my serpentine belt. 20 minutes for something that the dealer wanted $220 to do. The belt actually didn't look be to me, but it was off so I went ahead and did it.

Upgraded my girl to some 18's. Didnt do 20's because of the amount of driving I do and did not want to go through tires. Im not 100% sold, what do you all think?

Wheels with a thin polished lip like that accentuate the proportions, so if the fitment is off and the gap is huge, it will seem even more so. Also, five spoke wheels like that showcase the rotors and calipers, so if the brakes don't look good, the whole project will look ghetto.
