Yes they are. I saved a couple hundred bucks by ordering everything separately by using your build rather than buying the whole kit from rock auto. only minus is that I didn't get the drilled&slotted rotors but I'm fine with that.

I should have been more clear Its a Toronto group buy from Outcast Garage to save on the insane shipping charges we have to pay in Canada. You guys in the states get the shipping for free, IM going to end up paying $250 CAD for it even after the savings.

Ordered a pair of Philips CBB D2S bulbs as part of a local group-buy through Retrofit Source. These look to be pretty bright and from what I've heard, also have better light output than stock. I'm interested to see how these perform with the Sti-R lenses.
Also ordered chromed front turn signal bulbs because I'm really nitpicky and have always hated the orange reflectors and bulbs in my cars. Since most of my cars were german, I could always get e-codes (european spec) and be done with it. I'm coming to find that the G didn't have an easy option like that though
PIAA used to make chromed amber lenses for the 7440 bulbs we use for our turn signals. Of course, they were JDM parts and are discontinued (have been for many years). I thought my only other option were the "stealth" bulbs you can find on Amazon or fleabay, but the reviews of the terrible quality made me consider other options. Finally, I landed upon two different types of bulbs: Osram Diadem and Philips Silver-Vision.
OF COURSE, neither of these are available in the US, and although I found many Osram Diadems through German and UK Amazon/Ebay, I couldn't confirm that the bulbs would fit since the bulbs have european bulb codes (as well as the fact that our 7440 bulbs are single filament and not dual).
Eventually after spending WAY too much time doing research about turn signal wedge bulbs and compatibility charts, I found that the Philips Silver-Vision WY21W is the Japanese equivalent to our 7440 bulbs.
The problem I now faced was the fact that I couldn't find these bulbs anywhere. I eventually resorted to ordering them from Rakuten, a Japanese website where foreigners can order "JDM" stuff and have it shipped around the world. I have absolutely no idea how long they'll take, since my tracking updates are in Japanese, but the address is right, so I'm sure they'll get here eventually.
You're probably sitting there thinking "wow, all of this for two turn signal bulbs" but keep in mind that us 2007-2008 G35 sedan dudes don't have the luxury of having TONS of lighting/housing kits like the 2010+ G37 guys have access to. Our front end sucks in comparison, so we have to make due with what we've got!
The result though, is pretty dramatic. My inspiration, and the whole reason I even went down this rabbit-hole is a Japanese dude on instragram by the handle of "hiromasaa8303" and his G35 build:
The result of not having the ugly amber bulb in the OEM housings is quite dramatic I think. Obviously, it looks better here because of the midnight grille and the front lip that he has. (And yes, I already asked what lip it was, but everything on his instagram is in Japanese, so we'll likely never know. But I did some detective work and it looks like it's one of the Access Evolution front lips...which are around $1750 )
