constaint power steering hose failure
I've had some issues with my 2009 g37x, since December 2013 both the pressure hose and return hose have failed twice and now for the third time both hoses have failed. I contacted Infiniti consumer affairs multiple times, and they have stated there is nothing they can do since my vehicle is out of warranty (currently have 86000 miles) I have lost all faith in Infiniti as there must be quality issues in the parts. Has anyone else had issues with power steering hose failures.

What do you mean by "failed"? Did the hose burst, split, or drip?
It is odd for both the high pressure and return line to fail. If the hose clamps are the wrong type, or over tightened, they can split the hose and leak.

Seems like that dealer does not want to actually find the issue. The odds of both lines leaking is VERY small. Where do you think it is leaking: pump, reservoir, cooler or steering rack?
Try a different dealer or independant shop. It is not a common issue.

unfortunately I've gone to 2 different dealerships a Nissan and Infiniti for repairs. The current leak appears on high pressure hose is near the reservoir, all the fluid has dripped in the front of the car below the reservoir, and has the last 2 failure. Also the previous repairs occurred 1 hose at a time. I have scheduled an appointment at a different Infiniti dealer to take a look at it and hopefuly figure it out once and for all

The leak must be on the low pressure side.
The high pressure side is from the pump to the rack.
The low pressure side is from the reservoir to the pump and the rack to the reservoir.
This really should be easy to figure out. Good luck with the next repair.

SonicVQ you were right the leak came from the low pressure side with both hoses leaking. The previous repair used the wrong clamps and caused the seals to fail on both ends. Also the on of the hoses is on back order for at least a month so the dealership gave me a loaner for the time being and is going to work with Infiniti customer affairs to cover the cost since the work was completed at a different dealership 14 months ago.
