Transmission and diff oil change
Alright guys. Its time for me to change my fluids now. When I bought the car at 77k it ran great. Smooth shifts no grinds. About 1000 miles later I switch both the differential and transmission oil out for amsoil severe great and transmission gear oil. Diff seems fine but the transmission was a little notchy. What do you guys recommend getting next? I'm doing eneos engine oil changes. Thinking about trying their great oil too. But no option for the lsd. What do you guys recommend

Just to chime in from the above post, my dealership and my mechanic both recommended Redline D6 fluids. Now I believe this is for the 7AT transmission however. Redline D6 meets and exceeds the Nissan MATIC S requirement (MATIC S has superseded MATIC J).
I did change my transmission and transfer case with D6 and also used Redline Gear Oil 75W90 for the front and rear diff on my 7AT G37X. This gear oil is recommended for the LSDs from what I have read.
Just some info for OP and others.

^ D4 and D6 would work just fine in our transmissions .. I use D4 myself for almost a year now with no issues whatsoever.. As for the diff oil , nothing can beat Motul fluids, believe me 
So what i recommended above is based on personnel experience..

A/T FLUID
Changing
Recommended fluid
Fluid capacity: Refer to See: Automatic Transmission/Transaxle > Mechanical > General Specifications
CAUTION:
- Use only Genuine NISSAN Matic S ATF. Never mix with other ATF.
- Using ATF other than Genuine NISSAN Matic S ATF will cause deterioration in driveability and A/T durability, and may damage the A/T, which is not covered by the INFINITI new vehicle limited warranty.
- When filling ATF, be careful not to scatter heat generating parts such as exhaust.
1. Step 1 a. Install the O-ring (315268E000) (A) to the charging pipe

2. Step 2
Use CONSULT-III to check that the ATF temperature is 40°C (104°F) or less.
a.
b. Lift up the vehicle.
c. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan, and then drain the ATF.
d. When the ATF starts to drip, temporarily tighten the drain plug to the oil pan.
NOTE:
Never replace drain plug and drain plug gasket with new ones yet.
e. Remove overflow plug from oil pan.

f. Install the charging pipe (A) to the overflow plug hole.
CAUTION:
Tighten the charging pipe by hand.
g. Install the bucket pump hose (B) to the charging pipe.
CAUTION:
Insert the bucket pump hose all the way to the end of the charging pipe.
h. Fill approximately 3 liters (3-1/8 US qt, 2-5/8 lmp qt) of the ATF.
i. Remove the bucket pump hose to remove the charging pipe, and then temporarily tighten the overflow plug to the oil pan.
CAUTION:
Quickly perform the procedure to avoid ATF leakage from the oil pan.
j. Lift down the vehicle.
k. Start the engine and wait for approximately 3 minutes.
l. Stop the engine.
3. Step 3 a. Repeat "Step 2".
4. Final Step a. Use CONSULT-III to check that the ATF temperature is 40°C (104°F) or less.
b. Lift up the vehicle.
c. Remove the drain plug from the oil pan, and then drain the ATF.
d. When the ATF starts to drip, tighten the drain plug to the oil pan to the specified torque. See: Valve Body, A/T > Removal and Replacement > Exploded View See: Valve Body, A/T > Removal and Replacement > Removal and Installation, "Exploded View".
CAUTION:
Never reuse drain plug and drain plug gasket.
e. Remove overflow plug from oil pan.

The ATF level is greatly affected by the temperature. Always check the ATF temperature on "ATF TEMP
1" of "Data Monitor" using CONSULT-III.
m. Park vehicle on level surface and set parking brake.
n. Shift the selector lever through each gear position. Leave selector lever in "P" position.
o. Lift up the vehicle when the ATF temperature reaches 40°C (104°F), and then remove the overflow plug from the oil pan.
p. When the ATF starts to drip, tighten the overflow plug to the oil pan to the specified torque. See: Valve Body, A/T > Removal and Replacement > Exploded View.
CAUTION:
Never reuse overflow plug

Lol sorry T-One, you're right. What I have been doing for many years on different customers cars is add about a 1/2 oz of friction modifier (limited slip diff additive) into the manual transmissions. There is noticeable improvements to the transmission including smoother transmission feel and gear selection. I recommend you give that a try.

Redline MT-85 GL-4 for the gearbox, Redline 75-90 GL-5 for the diff. no friction modifier needed - no chatter. don't think i've heard of adding FM to the gearbox, only the diff if chattering is an issue.
i noticed an improved shift quality with MT-85 compared to the Amsoil GL-4 i had in my gearbox previously.

Im at 62K, just bought the car. I want to change the diff oil and tranny oil, is this a good time for transmission oil change? I read that diff oil needs to be done every 30k, what about tranny?

^ if you have no service history or knowledge about the car's preventative maintenance, i'd go ahead and do all the fluids now. it's safer to assume the previous owner didn't do the work. by doing all the fluids (and filters) you'll have a clean slate on the status of your vehicle's maintenance.
