That SSR is certainly the most artistic and in-your-face design of the bunch referenced here. Too much for my tastes, but still plenty to appreciate. Newt has been pushing those rims on people for a while now, looking for a vicarious rush, I suspect.

In that theme have you ever considered the Ace Alloy Convex? It's a split 5-spoke, but split in a way that it looks like a 10-spoke rim. The gentle twist in the spokes is very appealing, as is the way the lip lightly tapers back. Plus, the center cap area is very clean. Damn pretty rims, IMO.

Always appreciate your perspective on things John. Not looking for a rush, vicarious or otherwise, I just find the SSR line of wheels very appealing, wish I would have known more about them when I was wheel shopping. All of their wheels on this page I could see on my G, and that's pretty rare IMO

BS, Brad. You would enjoy following a thread where someone were buying those rims for their G Sedan. I know I would. "new rims" threads can be fun... choices and plans, giant boxes in the living room, tire selection, fitment, pictures, etc.

G37fan09, buy those SSR GTV03 rims. Take lots of pictures.

I had the Avant Garde, was very happy with the fit and finish. they also held up great, hit a concrete curb at the start of the curb at about 60mph with the rim taking the actual hit and there was only a slight break, it didnt shatter or anything.

Wow thats scary! But it looks like the wheel held up pretty well for a 60mph impact!

Glad you're ok!

Lol, I never said I wouldn't like to see someone on the site rocking those rims, that's just not the reason I'm spreading that brand around. SSRs have been around quite a while but they don't get much press on the site, and like I mentioned, if I was more aware of the brand they might be on my G right now

And yes, the whole wheel shopping experience is quite fun

Kaoticdemize, sure glad you didn't have a chaotic demise w/ that situation, nice to see they held up well.

Those Ace wheels are very nice, but they remind me the coupe wheels which I have in my 09 sedan right now. Will consider them if the wheel specs are semi aggressive, I don't like the coupe wheel offset (too conservative and I prefer no spacers).

Check this thread for the Ace setup, this particular fit is real good~

Post #24 has some nice shots of the fitment.

Are you on spacers? and Had you have any issues with Velgen's?

I love my wheels and haven't had any issues with them. I've never heard of anyone having any issues with Velgen's. I'm running a 5mm spacer up front and nothing in the rear, although I've been considering maybe a 3mm or so spacer for the back.

I don't work for Velgen by the way. They just liked my car and offered for someone to take some pictures of my car which I of course agreed to lol. Here is how my car sits though. I have f+r camber arms and I'm barely running any camber. I think I'm at -1.1 in the front and -1.7 in the rear. I'm running Hankook 245/35/20 and 285/30/20.

Hey, I was wondering what are the specs on the wheels that you have?
