Value of G37's in the next few years...

So I was just thinking, I know that they hold their values rather well and have been the best selling and most popular Infiniti the last say 10 years. With them being discontinued after 2013 and the Q50 not doing nearly as well as thought from selling and reviews what are the chances the value in the next 2-3 years the 2012-2013 G37's with low miles actually increases??

Thoughts opinions just figured I throw it out there for disucssion

Yeah, I'm going with 0.00% chance of values going up. Sorry.

The only way the g37 value could increase is if Infiniti was caught in a drug smuggling ring and was totally diminished. Then it would be a collector car in 80 years. I'm going to bed now.

I wager to say our 6mt's will be worth a whole .0001% more than the AT's in 5 years

^although I agree, the demand for a niche car can be surprising, no matter how lowkey

I listed my 7 yr old Altima SER with 75k mi on CL after getting trade-in offers of $6-7K, ended up get A LOT of emails and ended up selling for over $11K, and mind you this car was nothing special, basically a V6 Altima with wheels, bumpers, & red seats

Your car is special sir. Specially the red seats, they are such a cool and sporty option which we dont see often on lower tier vehicles.
When I was looking to buy my G sedan, I came across a Limited Edition showed up at the local Carmax for 3 grands more than my initital budget. Three days later, it disappeared. One of my biggest mistake.

Agreed. Although the 6MT Sedan is rare, there's nothing that makes it stand out as anything more worthy than the Journey/Sport. Same car, just with a manual transmission. And let's face it, there's nothing about the G's transmission that will any awards... AT or MT.

Unless you're in the moment of a car sale, you should never look to a daily driver in the context of depreciating equity, particularly a car from an upscale brand. It will drive you nuts. The only cars that apply here are collectors cars, and the G doesn't qualify. Never will, IMO.

For perspective, I've a buddy with a 4 year old 650i Vert, who picked it up with low mileage and only a third of its original cost. Go figure.

Yeah I think I stated what I meant incorrectly. I know the value will not increase, but it may hold firm for longer than in the past since the car is so popular and discontinued. I guess thats what I meant initially, but then again is the newer Q50's start to to great the value could drop off a ledge

People were saying the same thing about the G35's when the G37's came out. I expect it to follow a similar depreciation path the 35's have seen over the past few years.
