Smokey Bones - Home

As far as cheap hotels go, the cheapest would be the Days Inn, under $60/nite. It's less than a mile from that Smokey Bones restaurant, just on the otherside of the Wyoming Valley Mall. But hey, you can use Googlemaps and TripAdvisor.com just as easily as I can.
Smokey Bones is a good restaurant. I use to go to one back when I lived in Tampa. Great BBQ with reasonable prices.

How about Maers instead?

Looking at yelp reviews.

Maers BBQ - Wilkes-Barre, PA | Yelp

We can drive obnoxiously down the streets...

I'm pretty self-conscious about safe parking, and Maers doesn't seem to have much of it. Between the two BBQ joints, I think I'd rather do Smokey Bones. Actually, I'd rather go upscale, but pretty sure we can't get everyone on board for that.

You want ME, coming from Memphis, to go for mass produced BBQ?!? Well I do declare...

Kidding, I like Smokey Bones okay. Was disappointed when they sold a lot of them off. I'm game for anywhere though. Arena looks interesting but it appears to microbrew heavy and I can't check parking on the iPad. Same with Theo's Metro if we want to chance some Greek Italian...

I'll likely stay at the Hilton Garden Inn or another Hilton property depending on what else is there.

Quiet Riot is playing that night at the Mohegan. I'm kinda old for the Noize though...

RexHavoc - looking forward to seeing you at the meet since you and I basically have the same setup except for the resonator differences in the CBE!

Someone compile a small list for that NJ/NY caravan ride?

I suggest meeting up somewhere along the lines of right after the Lincoln Tunell (gas stations/beer warehouse?) or Garden State Pkwy? Open to more suggestions please~

So far, I THINK I've got down:

pdpMIATA - YES
Choman - ?
doublea88 - ?
stiizy - ?
Mik3G37S - ?
aktif8 - ?

Not quite sure. Please revise this list!

Looking forward to meeting you as well. I love seeing what everyone else has done. You running 18 inch resonators? Just got my CBE installed today, man what a time difference!

We should collect cell phone numbers for the trip. I'll keep them in a document online, and provide everyone with a link to it for reference in another PM. Seems like a good idea. I'll get that going at some point soon.

It's not upstate NY, it's Northern PA. And yes.

Are you coming to this or what?

Yep - 18" resonators with the RHFCs. Do you like the hiss?

Been enjoying that since I can hear it more.

Put me down as a maybe.

I'd love to see some of these cars in person and put faces to usernames. I might have an E92 335i rolling with me tho....#Don'tBeMad
