Does the R2C really make sense to get. The stillen gen 3 was not a bad install at all. The R2C looks better behind the grille of the G but isnt it alittle counter productive to have both sides sucking from the same filter fighting against each other to get the air that it needs? Just my .02 plus if you ever need to replace the filter it will be alot easier to find the K&N that the stillen uses at almost any auto parts store. If you look at the picture below it took 5 minutes to cut it out and then put a hose around the cut with alittle silicon so you dont get any rattle.

The R2C is still a much easier install than the stillen. Also, some prefer the sound, and most prefer the black nickel finish. Those who aren't looking for 5 hp would rather mitigate the risk of water getting to the filters. Lastly, R2C filters are long lasting and a little easier to get to for cleaning.

...and it's a couple hundred dollars less than the Gen3. These are all completely valid points. I suspect there's another intake mod in my future, where I'll swap out the R2C for a long-tube set-up, like Stillen or Tanabe. But for now, and for all the reasons you just rattled off, I'm extremely content with what I have.

The R2C can't be seen behind the grill and it has two filters, one for each side. Are you thinking the Tanabe?
