I would hope that's the result of a high school automotive shop class project. For one single person to "devise" all those mods just doesn't compite, Will Robinson.

If it is, they should all fail and be held back for a year.

You should see the front end, even worse than the back, with a collection of little areo wings glued all over the place. After a minute, the boy behind the wheel saw me looking at his car with my jaw on my chest, then went WOT and raced ahead out of sight. As you can well imagine, it sounded as good as it looked.

Sweet baby Jesus... what is wrong with people that they would do this?

Almost makes me embarrassed to own a G.
OMG John, were you in your G during this clown show? At least it's a first gen, but good god, what would bring someone to such car abuse?

Glad you were able to stay focused while witnessing this butchering.

Yep, as the price of entry drops so does the demographic that buys it. It's happening more with the G37 now being able to get into one for around 10.

Honestly, they are such an improvement for the interior. For the $5 or whatever just buy them and try it, you'll keep them for sure. If you don't like it then you're not out much.

No, I was i the Subaru. If I were in the G, I'd have run the risk of him wanting to show off, LOL.

We've all seen cars like this, but for me this was the worse ever. And my kid was with me for photo proof.

My car won't start. Bought a new clutch position sensor, but it doesn't matter. So I put the gear shift in neutral, and held the plunger switch in my hand, pressing the switch and the ignition button at the same time... nothing. Tried both the new and old switch. Nada. The dash lights up, along with the "clutch" notification, meaning it thinks the switch isn't engaged. Right?

I don't know what to think, except maybe the wiring is compromised at the clip. So now I have to pick up a volt meter and test it out. Pretty sure it's nothing to do with the starter itself, because of the "clutch" warning.

Thoughts anyone?

How I've lived 54 years and never learned how to use a volt meter... wow.

Multimeters are super simple, as long as the only settings you ever touch are to read voltage or check continuity. Anything else is magical.

A safari G37x might be interesting, maybe. Safari Porsches are pretty sweet:

We were parked next to a Macan Turbo for the last few days on vacation up in Canada. Very appealing little SUV.

I assume that is a reasonably convenient and nice vacation considering your location. Where in Canada do you prefer to go?
