soooo, this came up on my facebook feed. Just a prototype, but interesting. The one they made for the q50 and the ex, seems to work really well.

EDIT: just read up and this one isnt made by Phoenix, some chinese seller on aliexpress ripped it off and is selling it lol.

Yeah, me too. A bunch of people are getting together to pitch phoenix the idea of making this thing for the G. That way it will have manufacturer support and software updates.

My dad's advice....

My dad used to say:

"Never buy someone else's rocketship."

Wow that's pretty awesome. I wonder if everything works well though. I don't get the pricing.. $200-500 and min order of 2. If i could get one for $200-300ish i'd buy it and give it a shot.

Yeah, it's wholesale pricing from the factory (sort of) Alibaba.com is all brokers who work for somewhat of a mob lol, and they alone have access to what the factories produce. So they set the pricing based on units. You would have to order several hundred of those at once to get to that price point. Anything under probably 10 units would be around that 500 a piece point.

I hope it shows up on eBay, i'd rather buy it there. My past experiences with alibaba / aliexpress haven't been super great.

OK it's interesting, but (unless I missed it) it didn't say anything about supporting the HVAC in the car. I do like that it addresses the Bluetooth media streaming issues too though

It looks like it relocates the HVAC buttons lower, but the interesting thing is the screenshots do show fan controls and stuff also.

Right, but the write up never said either. That's my concern. Seems doable, but I'm skeptical since it listed everything else. If I could get one for $200 I'd be willing to be a guinea pig

I prefer the scent of clutch linings and hot brakes
