Anyone know of a good deal for the OEM rubber mats in black? Are sets for coupe and convertible compatible with the sedan? Any other Infiniti models with same mats?

Believe part number is 999E1-JV002BK

I have Weathertech mats, they hold a lot of snow / melt in the winter and keep mud off the carpet in the summer.

Most people seem to use rubber mats, either heavy-duty ones like Weathertech or simpler rubber mats. My used 2013 G37x sedan came with OEM carpet mats, which were pristine and which I promptly stored away.

HAHAHA so we are all protecting the carpet.... so why is it there's carpet installed in the first place? I've hardly ever even seen mine, the mats protect it all the time.... except when I take the mats out to clean them, then I see the carpet - all lovely and clean.

I suppose carpet helps deaden noise. Even trapped under a rubber mat, carpet will help mitigate noise coming from under the car. But so would a layer of asphalt- like a thick Dynamat, hahaha, but they put carpet in cars not asphalt. It just strikes me as funny that they put carpet in cars, seemingly just so fastidious owners can cover it with a mat to protect it....

I mean, if we just had the carpet there, no mat, that would be pretty luxurious but it wouldn't stay nice for all that long. If I look at my mats a month after I've cleaned them even in the summer, there's quite a bit of dirt, which would otherwise all be lodged in the deep carpet pile.

Adrian (2GoRNot2G) had that color on his high hp bad boy, so they should give you a boost too! This isn't a pic of his though.

Thanks, Brad. I do really love my white Akebono's and they have held up extremely well over the years, but I've gotten a bit bored with them. Planning to have them redone in candy apple red to match my under-carriage sometime in the new future.

For MaQ's new wheel set-up my vote would probably be for blue calipers!

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm shopping for a set of blue caliper paint/lugs that match. I'm leaning towards SSR branded lugs.

Which color is more dominant in the wheels? The picture was of just one angle and lighting, going solely based off the picture I'd also look at blue first but then again I would probably want a little more contrast between the wheel and calipers. It might blend a little too much. What about purple?

$1300 to fix dead passenger front and rear door locks. No thanks. Front driver door is intermittent and will fully die soon I suppose. That's another $800 that I'm not going to pay. Will either buy the part myself and attempt to fix or find a cheaper shop.

Passing these junk locks to the dealer when I trade the car in for something else.

Wonder if these lemon locks have been carried over to the current Q50 line?

I wonder if you can find aftermarket door lock actuators.

For that price I'd just try to find some out of a wrecked G for cheap and use those.

I've got a shot rear passenger one. If it wasn't under warranty I'd pull one at the junkyard. The procedure looks pretty straightforward.

Wasn't sure where to post this. Ever wanted to keep listening to the radio after you pull into your driveway? Don't want the G's ****ty BT to drop your connection while you restart the car? Check this trick out

Pretty sure that super secret trick is in the owner's manual. The other day I was in my wife's new car, waiting for my kids, when I instinctively did exactly that when turning the car off. I was kind of PO'd that the radio just shut down on me.

Here's another shocker: drop a DVD into the CD slot.

The DVD thing is neat, most people don't know you can watch movies with the parking brake engaged. I found that you can even watch movies from a USB stick. Problem is that not all file formats work, out of about 10 attempted files, could only play one of them.
