1) Will a HFC work with stock pipes back to my tanabe axle backs?

2) Will I NEED an uprev tune after this mod?(Uprev is all I'd consider) I can't find a shop anywhere off the UPREV site for tuning here in florida.

There isn't any sense in doing this mod if it will screw up my ride without getting a tune.

Invite Rad_Slinger to comment here. IIRC, he tuned sometime after installing FI's HFC.

As for fitment, aren't each of these components designed to an individual spec for their respective application? I think you'd have to replace the cats with long-tube headers in order to enter the realm of custom fitment.

Honestly brother, I have no idea what I'd need to have in terms of exhaust. I'm not really trying to go all out with the exhaust so an entire Header back or cat back system is out of the question. (Wife would shoot me)
I really just need a little info from some other modders if it is possible to just replace the cats and if I can will I need a tune to make the car run right. I'd propably just justify the tune to my wife anyway even if it wasn't needed.
And how do I invite someone to throw in there two cents?

I haven't heard that anything else is needed to install the HFCs, there may be some brands that don't fit as well as others but haven't done enough research on them
You've really got to prioritize those mods when you've got to get them by the wife You might take a page from Rochester in laying out some long term goals for your G and if you plan on keeping your G for a few years you can spread out the pain a bit. Your wife might be more willing if it's just a mod or two per year, I definitely would hold off on the tune until all your mods effecting performance are installed.
As far as inviting someones' 2cs, just shoot em a PM

Thx, I should have prioritized, but it's to late for it now. Hind sight is 20/20. The HFC are absolutely the last performance mod for this car. It's just difficult finding the correct info on this issue. If all goes right on the HFC install I'll be wanting the Uprev tune which IS costly but after reading all the post's on it, should be well worth it.

*Noted about the two cents* It's difficult trying to find people who KNOW what they are speaking about, instead of opinions. I'm new to this forum.

At least you live in an area where you've got some options as far as tuning, I'm a bit isolated out here so if I get a tune it'll have to wait until we get over to Las Vegas, which really isn't a bad thing I'm kind of in the same boat, I'm wanting some HFCs, but I think I'll go w/ RHFCs since I really want a bit more efficient exhausat but I'm extremely happy w/ my current exhaust tone throughout the rpm range so I don't want to add any gremlins to the mix and figure RHFCs would accomplish that.
BTW, thanks for the pal request

There are a few options in terms of tuners down here, the trick is finding one that has experience with Nissan/ Infiniti. Ton's of Cuban shops but I wouldn't trust my cars engine to them. LOL RHFC's may be the route I want to take too. After pouring $$$$ over the past year into this car I know what you mean about "gremlins". Vegas could be real fun... What better place to have your ride? Casinos, strip joints, and car mods. I'd go bonkers there!

No offense, but...

If you're into cars, and into the car you're driving, there will always be something. You may not know what it is yet, but there's always something.

I'm not planning on a tune after the RHFCS install if that helps? I'll probably reset the ECU and just go. Granted, I'll be running an OEM exhaust other than the cats. At least for now but I need to take a step back I think, I think I'll have done plenty for awhile.

I think Natalie.... I can't remember the rest if her user name but is down in the south FL area. She seemed to think highly of her shop. Diego as well no? May need to head down to MIA but if it's a proven shop might be worth it. That's part if my challenge as well in Memphis, looks like I'll be traveling for most the rest of the work I may want I get done.

Same here. I won't tune after the cats because there's still the CBE and UIM to deal with. Still not convinced about the Motordyne UIM, but I've got a few years still to keep an eye on the mod and learn whatever I need to learn to decide.

That's the thing about long plans... All the time in the world to make sure you're making the right decisions.

Yeah, I'm just worried I'll create some issues running Aftermarket Intakes and exhaust without a tune. Then again, I hear the Uprev tune will void all my warranties. I'll travel to MIA without a second thought as long as I know the shops good. I only live 10 miles from the Miami Dade county line.
Thx for the input.

I paired up the Kinetix HFC with my Tanabe axelback when I first started modding and the sound was much better than it was before changing out the stock cats. I did not take it and get it tuned either and I've had zero issues with the system to date.

I think her user name us NatalieJ327
Watch... I'll be off by three states....

I do believe any tune will void the warranty. That's part of the reason I'm going to hold off as long as I can. And maybe it will help me hold off...

If you still strike out LMK I'll check with my sister. I think she knows some folks in the area from when her BF was working on his SRT10
