Mike, what was the process and your cost? Last time I found a reputable shop for this work, they wanted $500, painted while on the car.

I think the easiest process (if the car is daily), is to find a loaner set and PC or paint them. If it's not a daily, pull them off and apart and go get them painted. Shouldn't be more than 2-300 bucks.

I don't know how that can be done properly. The calipers need to be pulled apart and rebuilt if they are painting them.

Thank you
Well I had a local or not so local guy who lives an hour away, who owns a G35, is a cop and does powdercoating on the side.
I had them done 2 weeks ago but I wanted that color with flakes over it, and the pre-mixed clear coat with silver flakes ruined the color completely, to the point that it looked like faded yellow/orange/copper/gold.
The way we did this was he finally bought an extra set of BBK so it lets his business expand that way by faster turn around time and for people whose car is a DD.
So I helped him get a set on here for I believe $650 just the calipers with only 12k miles on them, he did them with the flakes and the color came out ****ty and I wasn't happy about them but we still had to put them on regardless, but I was already trying to work it out with him to get it done again without the flakes before I even left... I drove around for a week not noticing a brake fluid leak from front passenger side caliper and rear drivers side... I noticed it last saturday and was glad I found it by my house, removed the faded looking calipers that were originally his left the car up on jackstands, had to take this monday off and head to him to drop those off and finish my original ones in the proper color and came back to put them back on the car.... It's quite a process and you gotta be careful on how you assemble the seals and pistons back in.
So John to answer your question, It was $250 originally to powdercoat them and then he just charged me $75 to get the other set stripped in some industrial stripping chemical and for powder.
Most shops will charge 400-500 to get that done because it's a bit of work but if you can find someone you trust and does these things on the side then go for it.
Just like Alex mentioned below, doing that on the car can't be done properly... the BBK needs to be pulled off the car, taken apart, stripped/blasted to bare metal and painted or powdercoated and everything needs to be reassembled carefully with new seals in which can be purchased from Z1 Motorsports for $48 for a whole kit for all 4 calipers.

But I guess that's because yours were painted and mine were powdercoated so it's harder to achieve a desired color

If you could find that, I should be able to find something similar up here. Maybe if I cast my net Westward to Buffalo.

Wow this color is so vivid and vibrant! I guess I need some DSLR pics of my Orange BBK because the pictures on my Sony Xperia Z2 don't reflect the actual color even though the camera is really great!

On car they look like the typical brembo red you see on srt8's.
John, the price was not for removal or reinstall. I had to do that part myself which is pretty easy...unless you drain all the brake fluid and get air in the system like me

OK so I installed some StopTech brake pads on the wife's journey today, bleed the system and then bedded the pads. Problem I'm having is they squeak pretty good when coming to a stop. And yes I lubed the shims....anyone else have this problem or may have any recommendations??

i really want neo chrome instead of burnt ti
Really the polishing wasnt bad at all it was pretty easy start with some wet sanding 220 grit and work your way up to 3000 then hit it with the polishing wheel and compound and finish with a polishing pad and polish
i actually really enjoyed it might try to find some other things i can polish lol
