Have you driven one? Wow- the total German package. It's a sweet car.

Is it worth x more than the G? It's all perspective and opinion. The G is always going to make a compelling argument b/c of the performance value and probably why most of us have one.

I drove one and was impressed, but not 15k more impressed. The car feels very solid in the twisties and had very nice linear power off the line. However, when punching it from a roll I have to say the power feels very similar compared to the G. The audi definitely felt more solid though and is surely on my list of next cars to own (although a v8 equipped car will probably win out for me). I will agree though that what are they thinking in not changing those terrible calipers (on a 45 to 60k car)?

LOL never said I was getting one but I do have to say that the Audi does have an interior that is 10x nicer than the G but it doesn't mean I'll get one. It will be time for me to get a new car but I'm going to wait and see what the "out the door" pricing will be on the ATS-V and CTS-V or see if I can get a decent price on a new M3?

BTW I use to have a A6 and they had rotor and oil burning issues. So no Audi for me!

Agreed.

I've driven an S4. It's certainly a nice car, but not $15k nicer than a G.

I'm just not that impressed with a $55k car with a couple grand in mods putting down 388 to the wheels The current S4 has been around for a while too....

I'm with you on the V8. I'm hoping the 2015 Mustang pushes down the prices of the previous generation 5.0s and I can pick up a nice low mileage example to supplement my G

Sadly, Cadillac is said to be pricing the ATS-V on par with the M3 and C63 AMG.

Well, that's within my price range or who knows. The wifey has been eying the new BMW 4 series grand coupe. If we do decide to go that route I think the 435i would be an excellent choice.

Zoster, I think your price range exceeds the average G Sedan owner here by 2x to 3x. Just saying... everything is relative.

Even if it massaged my ***** while driving (which would be awesome), I would never consider buying a car over $40k, new or used.

I'm with Rochester (and NOT while he's massaging his nuts!). I just don't see spending 60-70K for a car that won't be our primary family vehicle. But with 3 kids 10 and under, my priorities are not the same as others on this board.

Although it would be pretty pimp shuttling them to their various sports practices with an M/V/AMG

You mean the state tax on Stupid People? Haha, no. Never have, never will.

But if you're asking what I would drive if I suddenly became wealthy enough to drive whatever I wanted as a DD without care to cost... probably the new Aston Martin DB10. What a dream that would be.

I've said this before... "Next Car" is likely a 4-5 year old Jaguar F-Type S 6MT, or a similarly used Cayman S. Assuming college costs for the girls don't wreck our finances. Or some unforeseen medical expense doesn't send us into a spiral of debt death, like happens to so many unfortunate Americans.

No, not at all. However, a DB9 would be a totally welcome choice, too. Certainly a car I wouldn't kick out of the garage for eating crackers.

In full disclosure, I've only ever seen one live at auto-shows. So breathtakingly beautiful, it aches just to look at it.

Not really if you consider that my 2010 G37S sedan had a sticker price of $45k+. If someone could come out with a seat that massaged your ***** while we drive they'd be instant billionaires.

Both of our cars are paid off but my wife's Altima Hybrid is getting up there in miles and we are getting close to having to replace the hybrid batteries which is not cheap. So I'll put the G back to stock for her and I'll get the new car
