These OEM coupe wheels are exactly what I am looking for except they are powdercoated some dark rootbeer color.

Would you do this trade?
Only if I really wanted root beer colored wheels and thought the volks would be a tough sell.

Because refinishing those wheels will cost a few hundred and set of decent sport coupe wheels can be had for as low as 400 if you keep an eye on Craigslist

Well idk how hard it would be to sell those Volks. However, if you really want to get rid of them and like the color on the coupe wheels, then I would go for it.

well right now there is some interest on the volks. the thing is i know that these OEM coupe wheels can be scored for as cheap as 600$ if i get lucky on craigslist or something. but his coupe wheels are a square set up 2 sets of rear wheels which is pretty hard to find unless you piece it together yourself.

Now the bad is that its powdercoated this color

He also said theres a rock chip and a scuff. the wheels are kinda dirty cause its been sitting in his garage for 5 months.

I m not really in a hurry to sell the volks but i dont see my self going back to them i was really hoping to sell the incurve wheels i had and use that money to buy these then sell the volks and buy some stupid expensive wheels for next spring lol

I wouldn't trade for those wheels. Imo that's not a very attractive color.

that's what I was thinking I really don't like this color and don't want to spend the money to get it powdercoated what if I hit it with some rattle can silver? I m pretty confident in my ability to paint a set of wheels.

Those look pretty unappealing to me. No offense.

Are you going to clear coat over that? Try to get some more cash out of him, and maybe have them professionally refinished.
