Anyone have any experience with stainless steel lines or sleeves? Got my ARC catch can combo today but would like to figure out the lines and keep this to a single install if possible.

How many miles? Did you DIY or have a shop do it? What's different?

There is a Z shop nearby--motion lab--and I've been thinking about having this done.

20k miles. However, my wear was accelerated due to boiling it on the track (so my pedal went to the floor, scary stuff ). There was a shop at the track that got the fluid swap done in less than 20 mins and I was on my way for the next session. Clutch was problem free afterwards and actually felt smoother. I definitely recommend the change even if you don't plan on tracking your car.

I'm getting ready to place an order for some Motul RBF 600 and was trying to figure out how much I will need to replace, and flush, my OEM fluid.

I would, I like mine a lot. Not that I can see it but I also feel like the blinker is much more pronounced with the amber signal.

Fluid swap for brakes, clutch, tranny, diff and coolant are often overlooked by people, myself included. Trying to get ahead of that fail, I had my brake fluid and transmission fluid swapped this past Spring, with OEM brake fluid, and Redline MT-85, respectively.

As for clutch fluid... wouldn't that have been swapped last Summer when I had the slave cylinder replaced under warranty?

I should probably swap out my rear diff fluid about now, but am planning on a gear swap for Spring 2016. Anyone have an opinion on whether or not I should continue waiting? It's a 2011 with 21.5k miles.

I just made an appointment next week for my mechanic to re-install that support bar, with some custom welding for brackets. I'll be bringing my old cats in for reference.

Worst case, it will make next Spring's catback install a no-brainer.

Best case, it will head off sharing Alfredo's experience with busted welds.

Best best case, the tiny bit of remaining idle vibration will be eliminated.

I'm still waiting for a response from FI. Even after being rewelded locally, the car sounds sick in the bad way. I guess I won't be using my g for a while

^ agreed. Regular fluid changes are key to longevity and smooth operation of those components.

If your dealer knew what they were doing they would have flushed the clutch fluid front the system, not just topped up. I seem to remember reading in the FSM that it had to be done so it should be SOP. If you are lucky, as I was when my CSC and MC were replaced under warranty, your dealer used the high-spec GTR brake fluid to flush and refill. Not that I can tell a difference, but the TSB calls it up as a fix so there must be a meaningful difference.

As for the diff fluid, with your miles and non-track use I doubt you'll hurt anything holding off, especially considering you are doing a gear swap. Just do it then. Then again, what if you change your mind about the gears? For the $40 or so for the drain and fill and me being borderline OCD I would probably get it done at 30k regardless.

Like you, I went with Redline MT-85 and I do notice smoother shifts especially when cold. I also went with Redline GL5 gear oil for the diff and can't tell the difference but there's no chatter or friction modifier required with the Redline.

I did brake this year with Motul when swapping out the BBK. Haven't done transmission yet though I think I'll do transmission and differentials somewhat soon. Though I think the rear differential was done when they swapped out the cradle and seals. Coolant is going to get done in a week or so once I spend a little time at home.

I'm thinking you could wait on the differential, but that's just IMO.

Looking for some input.

I have a set of Volk GT-S (no tires) which isn't in perfect condition the lips have some hazing and there's some damage around the lug holes. Someone is willing to trade me their OEM G37 Coupe wheels which is a square set up (all rears) + $1000 cash. These OEM coupe wheels are exactly what I am looking for except they are powdercoated some dark rootbeer color.

Would you do this trade?

How much did you pay for your Volk GT-S?
