Let me know when you order it. Just curious to hear about the whole process.

The order with HappyBuyItNow never happened. There were some confusing back-and-forth emails, and I dropped the ball.

Then a few days ago, they sent me another email, asking if I were still interested. Included was a PDF file, and if you print it at actual size, you can cut out a little ruler used to measure pitch (attached). And they wanted a measurement along the curve of the glass.

So I measured 42 3/4" on the glass, but a full 43" within the edge-to-edge distance from both C-Pillars. As for the pitch ruler, I measured 0.2mm. Is anyone else interested? Can anyone confirm those measurements?

Here's a pic on how to use the pitch ruler:

HappyBuyItNow offered me a free Extreme3 spoiler, on the agreement that I talk it up on the forum with a new thread and lots of pictures. That seems like a great idea, so I said "Sure!"

Heck, if it's a keeper with decent fitment, then there's pretty much no way to stop me from talking about it. And if it's just not to my liking, then I'll sell it for shipping costs to someone else here and let them have at it. And if it's just not any good overall, then I'll move on and put this whole roof-wing mod behind me. No harm, no foul.

I may be interested, still, depending on your review after installing it.

If it's negative, then that's between you and me, and I'll just quietly drop the issue, giving the manufacturer a chance to tweak the measurements or whatever. In other words, if there's a review, it would only be a positive one. Heck, even if I were indifferent, but I thought someone else would like it, then I'd still create a thread, take lots of pictures, discuss it, etc. Although I'm hoping it fits great and looks great... it is just a prototype afterall.

The biggest consideration is actually receiving the item. Communication with HappyBuyItNow is sporadic and difficult because of language. But again, it's a free prototype, so if it happens then it's all good. And if it doesn't... it doesn't.

Works for me, it's one of those take it or leave it mods that I'm really 50/50 on. I think if done right it would look good, but it's not something that I HAVE to have. if happybuyitnow (such a cheesy name, I'll be referring to them as HBIN from here on out) can produce something that runs from c pillar to c pillar with no gaps on the glass with good quality materials and if they can get the pitch of the spoiler just right I would be interested.

Interested how this would look in combination of the OEM rear spoiler, are the designs complimentary ("flow well")?

What do these look like from the inside looking out the back window? Can you see tape, etc?

HappyBuyItNow just contacted me again (a month later), looking for a phone number as part of the UPS shipment info. So... I guess that means they have a prototype roof wing to send me.

Still have zero expectations either way, but this is encouraging nonetheless.

If/when it shows up, I'll start a brand new thread and link to it.
