Carbon Fiber Roof Wing

I ended up buying a Carbon Fiber roof wing from Carbon Creations, made by Extreme Dimensions. Right when I opened it I noticed a flaw in the Carbon Fiber in the corner, so I am already sending it back - BUT, When I place the wing on my rear window for placement, it does not seem to fit. It hangs off the window and onto the frame about an eighth of and inch when flush on the other side. Correct me if I am wrong, these wings should fit flush on the back window only correct? The manufacturer has been no help, they think if I "center" the wing on the "rubber window sealing" it will be fine. I have told them, my car doesn't have a rubber "sealing" on the sides of the rear window and it just doesn't fit and I refuse to put this piece of carbon fiber directly on my paint on the side frame, and then tape it down. Ill add some iPhone pics to show you what I am talking about.

All in all, this wing is just too long and they need to make me a new one right?

I'd send that back for both the flaw and the fit. Even if the finish was perfect I don't see how you could install it. Is it flexible at all?

The company you bought it from produces crap. Their MO is to make parts that their customers are OK with having to "make it fit". See their knockoff Top Secret kit that doesn't fit at all either. Unfortunately this should have been expected from their past history of horrible fitment.

Yea, I took a little roll of the dice and maybe just expected a little too much from them. Not to mention they were no help when I called them about it. I hope they don't try and give me grief on a refund scenario.

I hope not. Good luck with that. Be prepared to possibly have to deal with a restocking fee even though it's defective. Maybe not.

Wow.. that sucks. :/ . Thanks for providing a visual. if they give you a hard time, file a charge-back and dispute it through your credit card company. Record all e-mails/history of calls to them/anything to satisfy your case. But best of luck to you
