What boost do you run on the street with 93 octane? How do you know there is no knock? Why did you decide to turbocharge rather than supercharge? TIA!

93 octane daily. 8 pounds because my builder thinks a stock engine can handle it. I don't have a boost adjustment, because I don't want to kill myself. Turbo over supercharger because turbos seem to be the way to go, and this was the first build of it's kind. It's nice having something no one else has.

Congrats! I bet that felt great.
If 93 octane is enough to resist detonation on the street, and the boost limit is not raised at the track, then why switch to 100 octane, which burns more slowly and can have less energy content? Please consider monitoring knock and WBO2 (and logging timing, IPW, RPM, TPS, IAT, airflow, etc.)!

It's very reassuring to see fellow X drivers getting such numbers, gives us hope

Update: This is my car. I have over 15,000 miles on the build with nothing more then a coolant leak. I thought the tranny would need work soon after the build, now I'm not so sure. The only draw back is that people don't take you serious when you want to race. this car ran 11.8 @121 at ATCO raceway. And yes I've destroyed 2 m3s and can't find an M5.
